I've been busy, busy, busy.....so I skipped Theme Thursday and Friday Five this week. Theme Thursday was about heritage, and since I'm a mix of Irish, English, Welsh, French, Dutch, Scottish, Cherokee, and Blackfoot Indian, I just couldn't find a single picture that would sum that up without excluding some part of my heritage. Maybe I was just "brain-dead", or the creative juices weren't flowing, but I was stumped. Friday Five was about being on the phone, and I'll include it here: ![]() 1. Do you like talking on the phone? Why or why not? I don't mind it. I guess it depends on who I'm talking too. I'm usually doing something else while I'm talking, so I don't feel that it counterproductive, even if I'm just rambling. I would love to get a cordless headset phone for home, so I could have both hands free to do whatever. I have a headset at work, but I'm attached to the phone by a cord. While I do like TALKing on the phone, I do not like being on hold, especially if it's more than 60 seconds. One of our company's vendors, who shall remain nameless, has the most irritating and loud hold music and message, that I often just hang up and call another vendor. I also can not stand the hold messages that say, "your call is important to us, please stay on the line, and blah blah blah..." If my call is important you, hire more people to answer the phone!!!! 2. Who is the last person you talked to on the phone? My sister, Kim 3. About how many telephones do you have at home? One regular phone and one cordless. 4. Have you encountered anyone who has really bad phone manners? What happened? Too often. I just accept the fact that some people are not cut out to talk on the phone. 5. Would you rather pick up the phone and call someone or write them an e-mail or a letter? Why or why not? It depends on what I'm calling or e-mailing for. At work, if I need quick information, I'll call. If I need a documented answer, or if I know that I won't get directly through by calling, I'll e-mail. At home, I'll usually pick up the phone. Here's a picture of Stefani on her birthday: Notice how slim she is getting? ![]() We had an unbelieveable "heatwave" here this weekend. High's near 70! All the snow started to melt. What a difference a month makes! ![]() ![]() Even the trees are starting to bud! ![]() Spring is coming!!!!!! I've been debating with John all week on whether we are booking plane tickets to Florida. Every time I think I've persuaded him to fly, he changes his mind. I don't dare get the tickets if he's going to change his mind right before the flight, or, even worse, during the flight! It's been very frustrating, and I can feel myself getting ready to explode. It brings a whole new meaning to "Florida or Bust!" (LOL!) I've been reading "Prescription For Anger". (Very insightful reading) I'm hoping it will help me with my frustrations surrounding driving, as well as everything else that is ticking me off... More on that subject later. Farewell, for now.... Thanks for reading! Ann Marie ![]() ![]() ![]() Graphics by Doris Ann |
