Quote of the Day:
"I don't know the key to success,
but the key to failure
is trying to please everybody"
-Bill Cosby-

I've skipped the again this week. The questions seemed unimportant and irrelevant compared to other subjects, and realistically, I just didn't have time for it. I have so many things that I want to write about, but there are only 24 hours in a day! There are so many things that I must do, so many things I should do, and I must "make time" to do things that I want to do.

Writing falls under the category of "want to do", so, I'm making time to write tonight. The things I want to say range from my feelings on the war, to my relief that John finally made plane reservations to visit my sister and her family in Florida.

I'm going to skip my opinion on the war for now, so I can spend time writing about more positive things.

John made airline reservations on Friday through Delta. He found a good deal, and followed it through to completion. Now, he's sorry he did, because he still has a flying phobia, and he's afraid he's going to back out at the airport. My sister, Sharon, is recommending that he ask his doctor for a prescription for Xanax for the flight. Has anyone else that reads this ever taken Xanax for anxiety, or have a fear of flying? I'll need all the help I can get to him on that plane! My sister, Sharon, and her family paid for the tickets so we could come down to visit, and I'm looking forward to it! (John is looking forward to it also, just not the flying!)

More positive news is Spring appears to be here in the Upstate New York area. While we didn't get up near 70 degrees, like last weekend, the temperatures were much milder than the single digit temperatures we had just a month ago! I actually saw a robin on Thursday!

Although I had the camera with me, I didn't think fast enough to take a picture before it flew away.

Now that most of the snow has melted, I found some pansies in the flower bed budding already! I guess they are a hardy flower! I don't seen any sign of the bulbs coming up though, so there must be more cold weather on the way.

In addition to reading "Prescription For Anger", I've also been reading "The Power of Positive Thinking". My sister, Kim, said that the book has changed her life. I borrowed the book from the library at work, so I'm trying to finish that first so I can return it. I definitly believe in the power of faith and the power of a positive attitude. But, when I'm feeling overwhelmed, it's hard to remember to put the powers into use.

We went to the hospital today to visit a friend and former neighbor who had a knee replacement on Friday. John and I "adopted" Eleanor as our granmother several years ago. We bring her stuff we've made and John fixes things like her TV, and she makes us treats. like the best chocolate zuchinni bread and homemade strawberry jam! We stopped at Stella's

in Canandaigua on the way, and bought a pot of tulips. Eleanor's 4-month old and 9-year old great-grandsons were visiting her with their parents. While we visited, I got to hold the baby. As soon as he started fussing, his went back to his Mom. (I think I'm going to like being a grandmother.) ;-)

Speaking of babies, Amy should be into work with Ayden tomorrow, so hopefully, I'll have more baby pictures to post!

Well, it's back to doing the things I must do, so good night for now!

Thanks for reading!
