Good news! I was approved to be a Yankee Candle affiliate!
(I know, I know..., it's not something to be overly excited about, like a JOB OFFER, but I'll take the positives where I can get them!)
So, what does being a Yankee Candle affiliate mean?
It means that I can get commissions off of anyone that purchases from Yankee Candle Online using this link:

Well, it's not exactly as easy as that. In order to get an 8% commission, I need to get at least $312.50 of product sales.
So, if any of you are candle lovers, as I am, please, please, PLEASE, buy online through my link, and tell all your friends. :)
There's a link on this page, for future reference.
Also, if you are planning on spending over $60, visit the link on this page to receive a discount at the check-out.
I'm much better at being a buyer than being a sales person , so let me tell you why I would buy from Yankee Candle.
First of all, buying online means not having to put up with traffic and mall crowds.
There, I've saved on the high cost of gas and on some of my sanity already!
Yankee candles are high quality candles, last longer, and come in a variety of wonderful scents.
(You can learn more about that by clicking the link above.)
I can still take advantage of the fragrance of the month sales when shopping online. (November's fragrance is Home Sweet Home.)
Yankee Candle make wonderful gifts that everyone appreciates.
They have other gift ideas besides candles, too. (Click on the link to see what I mean.)
There is a selection of clearanced items online, which is not available in stores.
When I buy online, I can have gifts shipped anywhere, saving me time from wrapping and going to the post office to ship them myself.
Speaking of gifts, Stefani sent me this banner to use to link back to her online store:
Feel free to use it as a link on your web page too.
Speaking of Stefani, Larry, Barb and I had lunch with her yesterday.
For some reason, the pictures did not turn out well. Low batteries, poor lighting, user error?
Stefani, Barb and Larry
I had lunch with Barb in October, but I hadn't seen Larry or Stefani since September.
Larry was laid off the week before Barb and I, but Stefani is still with the company.
It was nice to get together again. I felt melancholy, remembering how we all used to be part of a team.
We talked on a variety of subjects, and the time went by so quickly.
Larry suggested that we try to do this once a month, and I believe we were all in agreement.
John and I both received job opportunity calls yesterday. My call had no results, because they realized I was way overqualified for this entry-level position.
John's call was more promising, so please keep your fingers crossed!!!!
Several people that I used to be in close contact with haven't written or called me in ages.
I don't know why. Should I continue contacting them, or just give up?
Yesterday was a foggy day, and the opening day of deer hunting season.
It was very nerve-wracking for me to drive since I couldn't see if a deer was about to jump out in front of me.
The squirrels emptied my bird feeder, but they must have saved something for the smaller birds to nibble on.
Today it is very windy.
I even hung clothes out to dry.
There's no sunshine, but the wind should help get things partially dry to reduce the expense of running the dryer.
I refilled the bird feeder, picked up some fallen branches, and tried to enjoy this time before the frigid weather comes back.
Well, that's enough rambling for a while. (Until next time...)
Thanks for reading!
