"You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses." Ziggy Everyone's been asking how my birthday was. It was very nice. John took me out for dinner at Red Lobster Saturday night. We went early so it wouldn't be so crowded. The food and the service were excellent. We went to the mall to shop for a suit (since I have gone up a size since my last time job searching.) I found a perfect one at Kaufman's. Kevin, Ashley and MacKenzie took me out for dinner on Sunday to Chili's. I got a few gifts, lots of cards, and, the Bills finally won a game. Kim tried to get tickets to take me to the game, but she couldn't get two seats together. The weather was cold and nasty that day, so I'm glad I was able to watch it from home anyhow. Speaking of weather, today was a beautiful day. With highs in the 70's, it was more like summer than late fall.I took advantage of being home in this weather, and hung out laundry, worked in the yard, pulled out some plants from the garden, and made a homemade stand to sell gourds. (No luck selling gourds - oh, well....) ![]() It's easier to enjoy the colors of fall with bright sunshine and warm temperatures. ![]() Things would be great if I didn't have a few "thorns" in my side. On a grand scale, I am upset with all the injustices and unfairnesses in this world. My own thorns include not having my car repaired yet, Ontario County not doing anything about my ex-husband's back due child support, and just being so uncertain about the future. All this BS is just making my post traumatic stress from the car accident worse. My doctor prescribed Ambien for me the other day. I'm finally able to get a peaceful night's sleep. I wish he had thought of this a long time ago. It knocks me out in less than an hour, and I wake up early feeling refreshed. A lot of my anxiety getting worse since the car accident has probably had a lot to do with not getting any sleep. Well, that's enough complaining out of me for a while. Hope everyone has a good week!
