Just Rambling on

Last night, the power went out suddenly. Apparently, a power line had been knocked down from the high winds, and a large area was without power for a long time. It was about 7:15, and the power came back on around 10:00. It was nice having the peace and quiet with no humming of appliances and no TV on. John and I lit candles and the oil lamps and played rummy by candlelight.

Today the winds are even stronger, so who knows if and when the power will go out. The winds are higher today than when they closed all the schools last month when the hurricane blew through. No schools closed today, though.

This afternoon, I have to drive to a NAPMR meeting at the Wishing Well Party House. I hope the winds die down before I leave.
