Thanks again to everyone for your support!

Sunday was a much better day than Saturday. John and I babysat for the kids of a friend of ours who had gone away for the weekend. We met their Dad in Henrietta, and took them to our house for a sleepover Saturday night. We set them up in the living room with sleeping bags, blankets, pillows and a video. (Bringing Down the House) They had already seen the movie, but wanted to watch it again, and they fell asleep without a hassle.

They both woke up early Sunday morning, and John showed them how to make French Toast. They woke me up by bringing me hot coffee and warm french toast, and they were genuinely pleased with their accomplishments. (and it wasn't a bad way for me to start the day either!) John took them fishing on Canandaigua Lake while I got up and took a shower and did laundry. Candace caught a fish, (I think it was a small pike) and brought it home in a fish bucket.

After lunch, Brandon swept the sticks of the sidewalk so he could skateboard, and we also picked ornamental gourds for their Mom, made a home for a couple of caterpillars they adopted, and then they fell asleep while watching another video. (Agent Cody Banks) After an early dinner, we drove to the Apple Farm in Victor, and picked up cider, honey sticks, and donuts. We dropped them off with their older sister's boyfriend, who had just gotten out of work at Eastview Mall. They were disappointed to go because they wanted to have another sleepover.

I realized after he took them home that I hadn't taken any pictures of our day! They were generally well behaved unless they were picking on each other. (Since I only had one child, I'm not used to sibling rivalry, and I barery recall the days when my little brother and I teased each other.) The weekend just flew by!

The Buffalo/Miami game was a disapointment. (although I''m certain my future brother-in-law was thrilled!) While the defense was amazing like they have been for the past two games, Drew and company on the offensive line left a lot to be desired. It was a disappointing way to end the weekend!

Today has been strange. I feel like I should be running reports, doing buys, checking on orders, resolving issues, etc. Instead, I've filed for unemployment, continued working on updating my resume, e-mailed people I haven't had contact with in ages, to help network and spread the word that I am unemployed and searching, and did some initial job searching online. I know from searching for John the past several months that good jobs are not plentiful in the Rochester area. It may be time to relocate, but I would want Kevin, Ashley and MacKenzie to relocate with us. John just started a contract job, which may end in October, or may extend out to February. Although I need a job that offers health insurance by the end of the month, I do not want to make a mistake and get into a job that is not right for me. There is a lot that I need to think about.

Thanks for reading!
