Acoustic & Electric Guitars- lead Vocals
I was born a poor white boy from Howell, Michigan.  My interest in music started in the late 60's/early 70's.   My father played guitar in a band called "the Valiants" that was a  popular club act over in Japan during the early 60's.  I used to beat on Tupperware, while my dad jammed on the guitar.  Then I turned five, and discovered an old furniture stereo in our livingroom.  I learned how to operate the turntable and spun my dad's records.  The first record I got hooked on was "The Beatles- Help! soundtrack".  At an early age, I was exposed to other artists such as Elvis, Neil Diamond, Rolling Stones, The Animals, The Monkees and Beach Boys.
I took my first guitar lesson in 1976.  I performed at my elementary school talent show in the fourth grade, and played "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" by the Beatles.  That was my first stage experience, and I did extremely well.  As a young kid, I became interested in other activities.  I was very active in sports, I am still a big football fan.  In the early 80's, I began playing hard rock music and had some jam sessions with some friends.  I began to experiment with songwritting.
In the Spring of 1985, I helped form a hard rock band called
Dark Prophets.  In '91, the band released an album called "Prophetic Writings", that did really well.  In 1992,  we signed with Pristine Records and released some promotional songs.  We had two songs that appeared on some independent charts overseas. We also received airplay around North America, from college and independent stations.  In '94, the band relocated to Durham, North Carolina, and eventually disbanded in '96.  We did alot of traveling and playing in the twelve year history of that band.

I am part Cherokee and I am very interested in Native American history and spirituality.
Some of my favorite activities are camping, golf, astronomy, reading and traveling.  My musical influences are Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Simon & Garfunkel, Moody Blues, Black Sabbath, The Guess Who,  and The Beatles.
I would like to thank my wife Sherry for being a great partner and soulmate. I love you dearly.
In 1995, while I was living in North Carolina, I was struck by lightning.  I am a member of Lightning Strike and Electrical Shock Survivors International.  In 1988, I was presented with a Life-saving award.    PEACE
