My name is Sherry Jane and I am the drummer for the band. I had been the percussionist for the band for many years. Now, I'm playing a Slingerland Drum kit. I'm a self-taught drummer. I've been around music my whole life. From the AM radio, CKLW days, along with my first 45 record, Green Eyed Lady. I listened to CCR, Simon and Garfunkell, Johnny Cash and Sergio Mendez & Brazil 66. Then one day, a neighbor friend of mine named Adam gave me a whole stack of albums. Now artists like Rush, Steve Miller Band, Bob Seger, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Queen and The Beatles. That's about when the true magic of music entered my soul.
I come from a great set of parents and have 3 siblings. My mother now watches me from above like the true angel she is. My father is still here, and is a great storyteller of my families ancestoral history. My sister and I are tight, even though she lives far away from me, but I feel her presence always. My older bro lives in the mountains in the state of Washington, with his beautiful family. My younger bro and step father are well and living up north. I have 3 boys myself, two who are looking for thier paths and a teenager who has alot of spunk for life!
Last but not least, I would like to thank my husband Al, for all his encouragement and confidence in me.
The Brighton and Plymouth, Michigan areas are my roots. All my friends from my days of the Penn Theater and Hines Park, to the ones who listened to classical or country or rock and roll music, to all I've met along the waterways and parks. They've been walking with me at one time or another throughout my life. I am looking forward to the walkway of life in another chapter in my book of life.
