I adore and respect all languages. The study of linguistics is an academic passion. I speak, write, and read English, French, and Ebonics fluently. Someday, I plan to learn Amharic, Wolof, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.

I love the powerful magic of words. I love music and lyrics. When lyrics are grammatically incorrect, or incorrectly pronounced, they really irk me. My ears focus so intensely upon all lyrics that I cannot ignore the flawed ones.

So, I am keeping a list of these songs that irritate me due to their erroneous lyrical content. I record them as therapy for my musical anal retention. Please indulge me. Please send your own lyrical pet peeves to me at:
