MY FAVORITE VIDEOS
I love reality TV shows. I am usually a loner, so I am fascinated by people who agree to live with multiple strangers. I adore "The Real World" and "Survivor". Long ago, I stopped believing the propaganda and lies of most TV news shows. But, I do still watch several news programs, documentaries, and reality crime shows with my third eye. I rarely watch sitcoms because most of them are racist, sexist, degrading and mindless. I do occasionally enjoy "Girlfriends" and "Frasier".
Honestly, I could live forever without watching a single TV show. But, my life would be empty without movies. I love movies as much as I love music or books. All three media encompass the essence of my greatest joys. They are my primary sources of entertainment and escape. And, this trio of passions keep this Leo lioness tame, as they always entice me to avoid a lot of problematic carnal pursuits...Nahmean?
A perfect day for me is spent with incense, candles, and my three greatest loves: a soothing singer, a stimulating book, and a scintillating movie. Icing on this cake would be great friends/a great lover to share all...Most persons who know me intimately know that I am a walking library of music, books, and movies; as a veteran FM specialty show producer and deejay, musicologist, communications scholar, researcher, intellectual AM talk radio producer and host, voracious reader, and a home body.
I routinely receive email requesting suggestions for movies. I have often said that someday I would begin compiling a list of all of my favorite films. This column is penned to, finally, begin that list as promised. The list below will be ongoing. I welcome your own favorites lists, so that I may expand mine. My favorite films usually feature strong female roles and realistic homosexual roles. Such features and other highlights will be very briefly noted below where applicable. I enjoy some horror movies as stress releases, especially vampire movies. Vampires are the most spiritual and seductive of monsters...
