COMPARISON OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION ASSOCIATIONS: Search the Internet for "Association of Professional Educators," "Texas Classroom Teachers Association," "Texas Federation of Teachers," and "Texas State Teachers Association." Read the information on each website. Compare the vision or mission statement of each organization. DIVERSITY ACTIVITY: Plan a school-wide activity celebrating diversity. This may be a play, open house, all day celebration, etc. Search the Internet for ideas. This could be cultural, racial, ethnic, nationality, etc. Find a TEKS standard that can be met with this activity. Explain why you chose this activity. |
