YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ORIENTATION BELOW BEFORE COMPLETING ANY ASSIGNMENTS!

Orientation

Please read through this page carefully since this is where I will post any announcements I have for you during your course.  Each course page contains the course syllabus and links to all of the material needed for that class.  It is strongly suggested that when in doubt, check the Table of Contents page for the course in which you are enrolled.

Before you do any course work, you must successfully complete an online orientation. (I will not accept any assignments from you until you have completed your orientation.) You do this by sending an email to the course email address provided on the Course Information page and the first page of the website. Pay particular attention to the syllabus instructions on what you should use for the  subject line of your emails. In the body of your email, answer the 10 questions below. Do not send me the questions, just the answers. Number your answers in accordance with the questions, with each answer on a separate line.

1  What is your first and last name?

2  Through what college did you register  for your course?

3  What is your preferred email address? (You must have an email address in order to take a course.)

4 At what phone number can you be reached  and when is the best time to call you? (This is in case of an emergency.)

5  What must you use as your subject line  in course emails? (Be precise!)

6 How many assignments must you complete  and what are they? (For example, 6 papers and one exam.)

7 What is the due date of your first  assignment?

8 What is the final exam deadline date?

9 How many observation hours must you have to get credit for this course?

10 Read Ground Rules for Online Participation (in your syllabus),  Academic Honesty (in your syllabus), Assignment Rules (in your syllabus), College Email Code of Conduct (below), and Textbooks (below). Type the following statement into question 10. "I have read the five items assigned and understand the requirements." If you type in the statement without reading the five items, that's your call. However, I will take you at your word and expect you to know and follow the rules.
