In the interest of allowing maximum participation by the flightsim community, AMC does not want to require specific addon software to participate in our operations. The only true requirement to join AMC is to have a rightfully owned copy of an operating version of Microsoft's Flight Simulator (95, 98, 2000, 2002).
My plan for the airline is to provide sceneries developed for AMC, or to promote sceneries that cover our destinations by other authors that have been regarded as being high quality. These sceneries will be offered free of charge, unless the original author requires payment (shareware). Scenery developed by AMC authors for AMC pilots and/or the general flight sim community will be free of charge. These sceneries will not be required, however recommended. To use most of our addons (scenery, aircraft, etc) you will need FS2002.
Addition software will be available for download for items such as fleet aircraft and panels. AMC will require it's flights to be operated in AMC aircraft in order to be counted towards logged time with the company. These aircraft will be available free of charge to our memebers.
Members will be encouraged to obtain a free membership to Flightsim.com, a wonderful flight simulation website. By not requiring the use of addons such as multi-player online, or interactive ATC, we will allow maximum participation by the flightsim community, for those who do not exercise the use of these tools.
