HOW OUR FLIGHTS WORK
Here is a brief explanation of how our flight operations work.

As a pilot, each month you would fill out a
BID REQUEST FORM via the company's egroup.  All pilots will have roughly a month to pick the next month's flight assignments.  Each time you bid, you will select your top (up to) 20 flight picks and then one of the flights will be picked based on seniority.  After the bid date, all of the bids will be processed and a "dispatch release" email will be sent to each pilot.  You will then download a package which includes a flight release form (containing fuel, aircraft, passenger, route, departure and arrival time etc) along with a *.FLT file and *.PLN file to be copied into your "Flights" folder located wihin your FS2002 folder.

When you go to fly your flight, you will simply load FS2002 and select the appropriate flight from the menu within FS2002.  Then, the pilot has the entire situation loaded, including his/her flight plan, and you will simply have to organize your cockpit, pick up your clearance, load the passengers and off you go!

Record the departure time from the gate and record the arrival time at your destination gate.  The pilot will have until the end of the current bid period (which lasts one month) to submit his/her flight report form to count as credit towards the pilot's flight time with the company.  If this is completed with time remaining in the bid period, the  pilot may request another flight (of his/her choice) and this flight will count as "overtime".  As long as the flight is completed and a flight report form submitted before the end of the bid period, the pilot will receive time and a half credit for this flight.  For example, if Im conducting an overtime flight, and the flight lasts 1 hour and 12 minutes (72 minutes), I would log 1 hour and 48 minutes (108 minutes).  (72 X 1.5 =108).  As you can see, overtime flights are a great way to build large amounts of time quickly and gain seniority fast.  This is our reward to you for puting in extra time for AMC.
