* Point score shows shall be allocated by the committee, one show each month. Shows designated shall be only those held at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds or KCC Park.
* Points will be automatically included in the Point score by the point score co-ordinator, unless a letter from the owner of the dog is received by the Point score Co-ordinator advising that the dog is to be excluded from the point score. NOTE: Advice must be received prior to the dog attending and scoring any points in the competition.
* Dogs allocated points in the point score must retain those points until the conclusion of the competition. No points will be withdrawn once included. Any dog excluded from the competition will not be re-instated during that year.
* Members only.
* Dogs and Bitches over the age of 6 months are eligible to compete in the Adult Point score.
* Dogs and Bitches entered in Minor Puppy or Puppy Classes are eligible to compete in the Puppy Point score. Points will only be allocated for one class per show ie. either Minor Puppy or Puppy.

Rules and Regulations
Adult and Puppy Competition
* Available to all Financial Members of THE AMERICAN COCKER SPANIEL CLUB OF VICTORIA INC.
* Competition commences 1st November, 2004 ending 31st October, 2005
* Any ALL BREEDS CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWS are qualifying Point Score Shows.
* Results to be submitted quarterly, ie. within 28 days of the last day of the quarter.
e.g. Quarter from 1/11/04 to 31/1/05 - Results must be in the hands of the Point Score
Secretary no later than 28/2/05 - etc. otherwise points from that quarter will not be included
in the Point Score.
* Best THREE results for the Quarter to be submitted i.e. Only 3 results will be accepted for
each quarter.
* ADULT COMPETITION: Any dog over the age of 6 months is eligible to be entered in
the Adult Competition provided the owner is a financial member of the American Cocker
Spaniel Club of Victoria Inc.> To claim points for Class In Group or Class In Show awards, the dog must have at least also won a challenge at that show.
* PUPPY COMPETITION: Any dog exhibited between the ages of 6-12 months during the competition is eligible, provided the owner is a financial member of the American Cocker Spaniel Club of Victoria Inc. for the full period of inclusion in the Competition.
Puppies must be entered in either Minor Puppy or Puppy Class to score points in the Puppy Competition, however only one class per dog will count.
Any Puppy which is still under the age of 12months after the end of it's first year of competition may have it's accumulated points included into the following years competition. [Providing these R. & R. remain for the new competition].
* Inscribed sashes will be awarded to the winners of NATIONAL DOG OF THE YEAR and NATIONAL PUPPY OF THE YEAR, and a free advertisement in the Y.D.D. for the winning dogs.
