Wars and conflicts between groups of people have been going on for thousands of years. This never-ending struggle for power has led to the development of new and better weapons. People are always coming up with more efficient ways to kill each other!

How has technology used in wars throughout history affected the way we fight wars today? How have wars, strategies, and technology changed over time? Throughout the course of my independent study I hope to discover the answers to these questions. I plan to look at different types of weapons that have been developed over the years, from ancient times to the present, and examine their significance in changing the way wars were fought. Also, I will briefly describe the way wars were fought at different time periods.
