| George "W" and Jeb Bush will be arriving to Jacksonville, Florida to celebrate an increase in reading scores at Justina Elementary School. Something which did not happen. Just like George "W" being pResident is a fraud!! COME JOIN THE PROTEST! Jacksonville's local Democrat party is inviting ALL groups and individuals to protest George AND Jeb Bush this Monday, September 10th, 2001, at the Justina Road Elementary school, located at 3101 Justina Road, in Jacksonville, Florida. Folks from nearby Georgia are also welcomed!! The protest begins at 3:00 P.M. George & Jeb are scheduled to arrive at 4:00 P.M. Andy Johnson is helping to coordinate this protest. Another problem: America's Choice is a failed idea. Another really big problem: test scores went down. Other than that, everything is wonderful. You can check it yourself. Let me know if you find something I missed. I went to the D.O.E. site to find out about the test scores. When we look at the last two years of FCAT reading scores in fourth grade at Justina, we find that of the kids who made it into level 3 or 4 or 5, of the 5 levels in reading, 43% made it in 1998-1999. After one year of America's Choice, did they now boost this to 50% or 60% or 70%?? Nope. After one year, now only 42% of the kids made it into the top three levels of reading achievement. (If you read at level 1 or 2, you don't read.) It is like the story of the Emperor's New Clothes. Nobody wants to point out that Dubya is coming for the purpose of recognizing something which never did happen. There was no improvement in reading at Justina Road Elementary School. Check it out. Whiling planningto the Usurper, folks were nonetheless miffed as to why Twig had suddenly decided to come to Florida and honor a school for achievement in reading scores, that didn't exist. It wasn't until after 9-11 that others began to wonder, too. |
