Current Favorites
Paul Quantrill - This is my "newest" favorite - I was at the Vet for the Phillies/Jays inter-league game in June, 1997. The players were tossing balls to the kids during BP. I asked him to give one to me, since I was a Jays fan. I pleaded my case further, reminding him that the kids asking for balls were all wearing Phils gear. I got my ball! Thanks, Paul!
Past Favorites
Pat Borders - I'm not sure why, exactly. Must be because I was in my female mode in those days....he was cute! On my 21st birthday, at Memorial Stadium, I met a girl from Toronto, who took my address, and sent me a poster of him that had been given away at SkyDome that season. I still have it!!!
Joe Carter - I feared him all those years he played in Cleveland, out of respect for his ability. Then he came to Toronto in 1991, and I was relieved. What Jays' fan will forget a certain homerun, in a certain Game 6! (I hear Mitch Williams has that recurring vision, too!) Oh, and as a fan of Cito Gaston, I love this pic, Carter in Cito's uniform!
