The Angels

T'naro has bonded a wonderful brown called Etheveth!!! Etheveth is growing bigger and stronger everyday. I wonder what these two are going to get into. Look at Etheveth now. He's an adult. A new story is coming soon.

Ald'rien has bonded beautiful sky blue Diath!!! Diath has grown. Soon you will not be able to spot him in the sky unless you catch a glimpse of Ald'rien. What a beautiful dragon Diath has grown into. I can only imagine what he and Ald'rien are in for.

The sky was overcast, but spots of bright blue sky still occasionally could be seen through the cloud cover. The air was chilly and brisk, but neither of the two companions felt the chill.

"There it is," one called out to the other. His voice was rich and deep carrying easily back to his friend. "Come on Aldarien. We're almost there. Ryslen is within our sights and perhaps our long journey will be rewarded."

From behind him a green head nodded, and green and blue wings beat faster to try and catch up. Aldarien had been lagging behind slightly grumbling to himself mentally. Their trip had taken several days, and both men were tired. If you could even call them men that is.

Tanaro and Aldarien weren't your avarage people. They weren't people at all. They were angels. Angels who'd left their place among the stars to find a different life among mortals. Their quest was to reestablish themselves and perhaps bond themselves to one of the types or both of the types of draconic species who dwelled here.

Tanaro's dark hair flowed behind him like the dark tail of a comet as his black wings beat against the air. He banked sharply descending down toward the crater that held Ryslen. "This way!" He was a natural leader and had been in charge during the entire trip. Others were coming but were following further behind the two guys.

The pair finally landed at the entrance to the edifice. Their wings gently folded in against their backs. Aldarien tugged absently at the waist of his pants. He wasn't used to wearing clothing at all, but they'd decided it would be best to do as the mortals did and cover themselves at least halfway. Their flawless upper bodies were still bare.

A bugle resounded from the top of the crater where a red dragon was perched. "The watchdragon," Tanaro commented and waved up at the rider. "They are even more magnificent from this point of view. Don't you agree, Aldarien."

The silent angel nodded again. Aldarien was mute... at least vocally. Telepathically, he was incredibly well spoken, but he was also shy and didn't often say much. He pointed toward the entrance to the castle where someone was approaching.

The man approached the winged visitors with wide eyes. He started to ask what they were and then shrugged it off. They got all kinds of people here at Ryslen. "I suppose you're here about the eggs," he said. "Alright. Just follow me."

Tanaro glanced over at his friend and shrugged. His wings elevated slightly with the movement of his shoulders. Aldarien didn't do even that much. He just fell in line. He was interested in whatever type of eggs the man had been talking about.

"There are three clutches on the sands," the man was stating. "We need people for all three, so I'm sure there won't be a problem with you guys standing. I don't know why you'd hope to impress a dragon anyway seeing as how you can already fly."

"Ahhhhhhhh, dragon eggs," came Aldarien's baritone mental voice. The frequency was so strong that it carried to others not close by. The green-haired angel blushed. He toned it down and apologized.

"We are very interested in the dragon eggs," Tanaro informed him. "We may be able to fly already, but we don't have that sort of companionship that you mortals have with your dragons. We angels don't feel the same way you do. I am Tanaro and my mute friend is Aldarien. We've traveled far to come here in hopes of bonding dragons and starting new lives for ourselves. We want to better understand you mortals."

"I see," the man said. "Well I'll just introduce you to Jeyann, and she can decide what to do with you. We do need candidates, but I'm not sure if the dragons would find you acceptable. She'll probably talk to you a bit and then let you see the eggs."

Both angels nodded. "I do hope they find us acceptable," Aldrien 'spoke'. "It would be nice to have someone who understands without using my own ability."

Tanaro smiled and clouted his friend's shoulder careful of his wings. "I'm sure everything will be fine, Aldarien. Don't be such a worry wart. Lead on my good man. Perhaps there are dragons for angels after all."
