"Eye Spy Quilts" came into existence when we fell in love with the many charming and delightful juvenile/novelty fabrics we have. This is a child's quilt that was created to enable children to play a traditional folk game. " I Spy..." and the name of something nearby. This has been translated to a quilt using the pictures in the fabrics rather then something nearby. These quilts can provide hours of fun with "I Spy a cat or "I Spy a bug" at home or on long car rides. This particular quilt was pieced for the Marquette Quilters charity.

This fleece baby blanket I made for a friends son who had a child this year. These are so nice, warm and cuddly. Any body would love to have one of these. Finished 2002

The pansy I worked on September of 2003 These type of petal play flowers are made by fusing two pieces of fabric together and cutting them out. you then embroider if need be and attach to your square. The result is a flower that has the 3-D look. The fabric can be washed and will not fray. This is a fun project. The ladies that I showed how to do this made them for gifts and framed them.

This is a quilt I started November 2002. It’s called Persian Star. It is still in an unfinished state. Inside he has a soft glowing electric candle. Next is a flannel throw pillow that I made for the spare bedroom bed in 2001. I embroidered the words….
Love, Laughter, Old Friends, Welcome
Lastly, is a tin AOL CD container that comes in the mail....I crazy quilted the top and made a needle case out of it.

The Rose Quilt – completed winter of 2002/2003 This charming quilt was started by finding a picture of a rose that I liked and tracing it onto white muslin. I then hand embroidered the roses and when I had about 14 blocks finished I ran across some attractive red and white fabric by Alex Anderson.

When I was very young my grandmother taught me how to do some needle work. That has inspired me to try my hand at it again. Now I am very much interested in making a crazy quilt that will be hand embroidered and embellished.

- Finished 2002 This was a enjoyable and trouble-free quilt to put together. It is made by a method called Foldy Stuff. Each piece is folded in half before it is sewn. That makes it a weighty quilt so this coverlet doesn’t need batting. In the middle of each square is an endearing bubble bee. If you look close only two of the squares have a honey pot and a bee hive. This quilt is tied at strategic places as it was too bulky to quilt, only the green around the edges are quilted and they also have fusible web added for strength.
