Started November 2002 I collected ties from men in the family to add to the middle of this quilt. The rest were from thrift stores or friends. As I write this I have washed, ironed, and cut all ties…I made the fan part and put them all on a black square of fabric and used my embroidery machine to fasten them down. It is a time consuming quilt to make so I have put it aside for awhile and will start on it again in the winter

Tie Quilt in Progress
Put on Black Square & embroiderd

- Started this October 2003 This one I did at my first quilting retreat. It is done with all Thimbleberries fabric. I didn’t complete it because once we laid it on our king sized bed we liked it and thoughts of redoing the bedroom to match the quilt is running through our minds. I like the warm feeling that the fabrics seem to bring into a room.

As A Quilt

As a Bedspread

That cat quilt that I made was inspired by my sister’s love for cats. I found a fabric that was covered in cats hiding in daisy’s. It has blue sashing around each cat as though it was sitting in a window. Made in the spring of 2003. The batting is 100% cotton called Warm & Natural.

Here Puppy Puppy!
This is one I made for my "grand puppies". I first bought the fabric to make a dog bed for Bob and Aum's dogs but realized that I would have to cut the border off this fabric. Off I went to the sotore and purchased a new blanket for batting. Sonn the dogs had their own quilt...so I hope they don't feel left out.
