~ MICHAEL'S PHOTO GALLERY ~

You are still my child
that will never change
I will love you forever
and that is also unchangeable
I am there with you,
you are
here with me
you are one of my greatest
accomplishments
and a source of endless pride!

Pictures of Michael at graduation and in the navy... as his mom says,
"they came hand in hand in his life."

Pictures of Michael growing up...at one month old, in second grade and at 10 years old.

Michael just being Michael.

Michael with his brothers, Kenny and Tommy.

Gokey was best man at Michael's wedding, then Michael was best man at Gokey's wedding.
They were the best of friends.

Gokey and Michael
A letter from Michael's mom to Gokey --
"Dear Goke:
Please be kinder to yourself. You were there through such hard times for Michael. Stop blaming yourself for things that you had no control over. Michael loves you. You were truly his best friend and confidant. Remember the good times, let all your laughs together take over the bad memories. Michael wants you to go on, he has you with him!! He'll never forget what you meant to him. He wants you to go and be happy. Remember the plaque he sent you and remember the kind of best friends you and Michael are, that remains in your hearts forever. He's alive in your heart, and you're alive in his heart. I love you, Linda"

This was the last picture taken of Michael with his niece and goddaughter,
who he affectionately called Queenie.

Michael's last Easter

Michael with his brother, Kenny, and another godchild, Eric Michael.

This picture and poem below are from a Christmas card that Michael send to his mom and dad...

When you're little, it's easy to assume
that everyone's life is just like yours.
And it's not until you're grown
and out in the world
that you realize how truly special
your own family really is.
You two have been the heart of the family,
always ready with encouragement,
support, and understanding.
It's obvious now that the feelings
of closeness and home didn't just happen...
but were because of having
a mother and dad like you.
Merry Christmas
We love you both very much
love, Michael
