... Andy & Antonio Scenes From OLTL

~*~Andy Waitresses At The Diner For Antonio~*~

Antonio tells Andy that he has an emergency to take care of, he asks her to take over for him at the Diner. Marty comes in as Andy is pouring a customer some coffee.

        Marty: "Hi."

        Andy: "Hey!"

Marty: "Police work not paying the bills lately?"

Andy: "Ahh...don't even get me started."

Marty walks over to the counter, which Andy is now behind.

Marty: "Well you did read Tom Sawyer didn't you? How everyone goes to work for him with neither pay nor privledge."

Andy: (Holding a coffee cup and a coffee pot in her hand) "Wanna cup of coffee?"

Marty: "If it wouldn't be too much trouble?"

Andy: (Grins) "Oh..sorry am I that tense?"

Marty: "Uh...Yes! Where's Antonio? Is he in the kitchen?"

Andy: "No. He got some emergency and I'm running the diner."

        Marty: (Shocked) "What?"

Andy: "Yeah, I don't...I don't even...this time of day is like a pie and coffee kind of crowd. Ten minutes ago, I get this order for something I've never even heard of. And then when they guy figured out that I was going to be the one to fix it for him, after he figured out well...if I could even figure out what the dessert was, he gets up and walks out."

        They both laugh.

Marty: "That must have made you feel pretty good."

Andy: "Yeah, I'm learning new meanings of the word inadiquate."

Marty: "Well...it must have been pretty important if Antonio took off and left you here."

Andy: "Yeah, who knows, maybe one day he'll tell me what it is. I don't sound too bitter do I?"

Marty: "No. Just a little stressed."

Andy: "Alright, tell me about you?"

        Marty: "What?"

Andy: "Well you didn't come here to order pastelles did you?"

        Marty: "No."

Andy: "Good...because...I can't cook that either."

Marty: "No look, you're on your own, you must be swamped."

Andy: "Waitresses get to take breaks so considor me on one. What is it?"

Marty: "I'm...just going insane that's all."

        Andy: "Join the club."

Marty: "Pretty much everywhere I turn I run into Patrick."

Andy: "Really? I thought it was just that one time at the library?"

Marty: "Well we got locked in till almost dawn there. Dylan loved that!"

        Andy: "Easy. Easy."

Marty: "I know, I know. I just thought it was gonna be a lot easier you know?"

        Andy: "Patrick?"

Marty: "No, avoiding him. I mean I figured he'd be teaching on the west campus, I'd be going to Med school and we'd never run into each other, or rarely, and that would be that."

        Andy: "But it's not?"

Marty: "Can I tell you? I cannot walk down the street or into a store without turning around and having him there. And I don't know what to do about it."

Andy: "Alright...just...let me ask you a question. You married Dylan and you're happy with him, so why is seeing Patrick so difficult?"

Andy: "So Patrick goes into the florist? Did he spot you?"

Marty: "No. I kinda hid down under with the geraniums."

Andy: (Looks at her like she is crazy) "Didn't you feel a little weird?"

Marty: "Yes, but I figured there was nothing more to say. He won't listen to me about Blair. She's trying to get her hooks in him and playing this whole poor innocent widow act!"

        Andy: "Well don't worry..."

Marty: "I think he's falling for her."

Andy: "He'll figure Blair out, or after a while maybe. He'll figure out what a liar she is. Come on, you can't worry about this. It's...It's his life. You have your life with Dylan."

Marty: "I know, I just...I feel responsible. After all he wouldn't be here if it weren't for me. And I know! You're right, I can't do anything to stop him from being hurt by Blair. It's just hard to watch, that's all, you know. But I used to care about him."

Andy: "And sometimes you still do?"

        Marty: "No."

Andy: (Not believing her) "Come on, it's me you're talking to."

Marty: (Speechless) "No...No...I love Dylan, I married Dylan, and I want to stay married to Dylan for the rest of my life. I mean that's why I was at the florist shop. You know I wanted to buy flowers for our home. I want Dylan to look around and see how he makes me feel. That I'm loved, that I'm safe, that I'm happy."

Andy: "So why, does your friend even have to ask?"

Marty: "Does my heart beat faster when I'm around Patrick?"

Marty is gone, and Andy is back to serving the customers.

A man customer is looking down at his food with a disgusted look on his face.

Andy: "Let me guess, this isn't what you ordered?"

Man: "No way lady, that would give me such gas! I ordered rice pudding."

A man from the counter screams at her

Customer: "Hey lady what do you gotta do to get a little service?"

Andy: (Under her breath) "I don't know, you'll have to wait..." (Says outloud) "I'll be right with you sir!"

Andy: (Puts her hand on her head) "If I can figure out who ordered this."

Walks over to another table and places the food that she had given the other guy on the table. She thinks she has the right person now.

She goes back behind the counter, and a whole bunch of people come in.

Andy: (Horrified) "God Antonio, I need your help."

Andy takes the lid off one of the cooking things and it goes all over. Cristian and Jessica walk in the diner.

        Cristian: "Andy?"

Andy: "Cristian, do you know how to do this?"

Cristian: "Yeah, yeah but where...where's An..."

Andy: "Antonio? I have no idea, he just better get back before the Cinema Angelica gets out, or I'm totally stumped."

Cristian: "Why...why don't you just let me do this okay?"

Andy: "You know he told me to be in charge here and then he just took off to do some errands. I am in way over my head."
