... Andy & Antonio Scenes From OLTL

        ~*~Andy Sets Antonio Straight After Marty & Dylan's Wedding~*~

Andy and Antonio had a disagreement at Marty & Dylan's wedding because of Patrick Thornhart, who showed up at the wedding. Andy caught the bouquet and then joked about how she had an announcement. Antonio walked out, leaving Andy there with everybody. It is after the wedding, and they are at the Diner.

Carlotta is carrying a dishpan full of dishes. Antonio comes over to her.

        Antonio: "Here mom, let me."

Carlotta: "Tonio, you should have stayed at the party. I told you I can handle it. Is it Clint? Are you upset that he drove me over here?"

Antonio walks over to the counter.

Antonio: "No mom, it had nothing to do with Mr. Buchanan, okay? I just felt like working, that's all."

Carlotta: "Something happen between you and Andy?"

Antonio: "Look, I came to work, okay? Not to talk."

Andy walks in. Carlotta turns around and sees her.

Carlotta: "Maybe so, but somebody has another idea."

Antonio looks up and sees Antonio walking over to him. He sighs, like he can't believe that she followed him.

Antonio: "What are you doing here?"

Andy: "You can dish it out Vega, but lets see if you can take it."

Antonio looks at her with a confused look on his face, like he doesn't know what she is talking about.

Andy: "Now I'm gonna give you a dose of your own medicine."

Antonio: (Irritated) "What do you mean you're gonna give me a dose of my own medicine?"

Andy: "You know what you do, when we don't always agree on everything? You know what you always do? You say your piece, you tell me how you feel and that's it. You get the last word on the subject, you turn around and you just walk out!"

Antonio: "Look, we both said what we had to say, what's the point in us hanging around and arguing?"

Andy: "Because if we don't start hanging around and arguing than there might not be any us. Does that make things clear enough for you?"

Antonio is still a little frustrated.

Antonio: "Harrison, we didn't agree, that's all. Why are you so bent out of shape for?"

        Andy: "Because you..."

She turns around and notices that the customers are staring at them. Antonio kinda looks a little lost.

Andy: "Just listen. I had a really lousy marriage. Hunter and I never dug into any of our problems and I just don't wanna end up in a situation like that again."

        Antonio: "Like what?"

Andy: "Where things get left unsaid. You think you know what I'm feeling, I think I know what you're feeling, and nothing is ever said. And things start to smolder, and one of us is confused, and then resentful, and the next thing we know, we can't even speak about the real issue because we don't even know what that is anymore! And then one of us is still angry, but by then it's too late to talk things out."

Antonio: (being stubborn) "So what are we supposed to do? Fight? Hmm... are we supposed to get into a knock down drag out fight that lasts all nightjust because we disagree?"

Mickey and Eddie have walked in. They stare at the arguing couple.

Andy: "If that's what it takesyes. I just can't stand it when somebody just says their piece, turns around and walks out, like my answer doesn't even matter... like I have no say in the matter after he has said his last word. You know, I don't expect us to agree all the time, and I know you have a temper, believe me, I do too."

Antonio: (Looks at her as if to say like I didn't know that.) "No kidding."

Andy: "I just want you to talk to me. If you have to scream and shout then fine! Just do it! But don't turn around and walk out on me! Neither one of us could ever leave the other person with words to say and no one to say them to."

Antonio: (Throws his hands up.) "Hey look."

        Andy: "Like this!"

She turns around and starts to storm off. The entire crowd at the diner is cheering her on.

        Antonio: "Harrison, wait!"

Andy and Antonio stare at each other. The crowd stares at them.

Antonio walks closer to Andy. They aren't standing extremely close to each other, but are closer than they were before.

        Antonio: "Please."

Andy: "See what I mean? If you hadn't of stopped me, I would have left and you would have known how awful it is not to have anyone hear your say."

Antonio: (Looks like he is caving in.) "Okay. Okay. You're right."

Mickey: "Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, what's up with that man? Don't let her run no guilt trip on you like that."

Eddie: " Show her whose boss."

Mickey: "Yeah man, you let her get away with that, before you know it you are whipped."

Eddie: "Come on, set her straight man."

Antonio: (Looking at his mother) "Mommy do me a favor and find out what they wanna eatsomething that will keep their mouth busy like peanut butter, please?"

Eddie tells Antonio to check whose wearing the pants. Antonio puts his arm around and Andy and they walk over to the side of the room.

Antonio: "Look, Harrison, it's not that I don't want to hear what you have to say okay? I mean, I kinda like to argue. That's why I love the law so much. But, think of it this way all right? You argue your case, I argue mine."

Andy: "But what if we both still disagree?"

Antonio: "Well then the judge sends the jury out to deliberate. The lawyers don't sit there and argue until they agree."

Andy: "For God's sake, a relationship between people is not like a court case. There's no judge and there's no jury."

Antonio: "But you can still walk away, and give each other some sitting down time. I mean, what is wrong with that?"

Andy: "What's wrong with it? What's wrong with that is that if you walk away, you may never see me again."

Antonio: "Why do you keep making threats like this?"

        Andy: "It's not a threat."

Antonio: "Oh no, 'If I walk away I may never see you again', that's not a threat?"

        Andy: "No! It's a possibility."

Antonio is looking at her speechlessly.

Andy: "Isn't it? We're not locked in some room together. What happens if one of us decides to walk away and the other decides to walk away too? And then one of us wants to turn around and try to reconnect and there's nobody there?"

Antonio: (Has been looking away from her but now he looks at her again.) "Okay, you're right."

Andy: (Smiles at him.) "Oh come on. Don't just say I'm right, then we're right back where we started. This is way to important to me."

Antonio: "When do you think the last time I had a relationship was, huh?"

Andy shakes her head meaning she doesn't know.

Antonio: (Kinda embarrassed to admit this.) "You know, I was a kid in high school. I mean I was so into the gang scene, leader of the Prides El Leon and then I went to prison for six years. And when I got out I was a man, with no experience. See, in prison when you have a beef with somebody you can walk away. I mean, why not? Tomorrow you're gonna be there anyways, right? Look, maybe I just need to find a new way to... (He throws his hands up, he can't find the word.) Whateva."

        Andy: "Fight? It's called fighting."

Antonio: "Yeah, well I don't like to fight with you. Okay, I can never find the words. I mean every time I try I get this... this... this fire burning inside me and I look in your eyes and..."

Andy and Antonio are staring at each other intensely.

Andy: "I don't like it when you walk away, feeling like you're still angry with me."

Antonio: "Well I'm not! And I wasn't, okay? And I'm glad you came here and called me on it."

Andy: "If I hadn't come to the Diner, would you have called me?"

Antonio: (Grin on his face) "I was running to call you before you walked in. Look, we don't have to deal with that no more, okay? Because I'm not in prison, and this is the real world, our world. And I will promise you that I will never ever turn my back and walk away again. You got it?"

Andy nods her head and they embrace.
