Andy and Antonio have just left the Palace Hotel, where they had talked with Kevin. They are now at Rodi’s...
Andy: “You know, you haven’t even said a word since we left the country club.”
Antonio: “Well, what do you want me to say?”
Antonio pulls out her chair for her.
Andy: (Annoyed) “Well come on, if you’re mad at me for having coffee with Kevin than just say so. We were gonna talk about this, remember?”
Antonio sits down across from her.
Antonio: “I don’t know if I’m mad, okay? It depends…I mean why did Kevin come see you the minute he came back to Llainview? Now what does he want from you?”
Antonio and Andy stare at each other.
Andy: “Kevin was interested in us getting back together. Picking up where we left off.”
Antonio: “Picking up where you left off? Meaning where he dumped you? (Andy looks at him) And what did you tell him?”
Andy: (Smiles at him. He seems so insecure at this moment.) “I told him that I was in love with you. What did you think? (Antonio is now smiling hugely.) We worked so hard to be honest with each other and to trust each other, that I was just gonna throw it all away because Kevin came back to Llainview? Forget it.”
Antonio reaches his face across the table to where Andy is, they kiss passionately. Kevin, who has walked in, watches from the distance.
Andy: “I have to get back on duty.”
Antonio: “Yeah uh…I’m gonna just have one more cup of coffee and then back to the law library all night to finish up that research for Nora. I’ll see you.”
They kiss.
Andy: (Stands up) “Bet you will.”
She leaves. Javiar Perez comes in and Antonio asks him about Rachel, who has escaped from the rehab hospital. They argue about Antonio owing RJ and him money from the loan from the Diner.
