All These Lies
All These Lies
Alicia, © May 2001
we're all living on hope
the world's full of hidden tears
running on casual doubts
Speak softly, darling, it's too loud
But make me forget what it's about
sex, liquor, dreams and jobs
I'm scared of people who speak the truth
evolution, enviornment, heaven and hell
we're just here to have fun!
My friends and I laugh
I go out and get laid
This week's illusion just blew up in my face
come too close, I'll bite
I was told to wait for help
or maybe that purple sunset
I'll admit nothing; I do what I'm told
run now, leave me alone
we can talk again someday when I'm old
