| Sephiroth is dead. Shinra has been defeated. Meteor has been stopped. But what cost has the world already paid? The people of the Eastern Continent live under a dark dust cloud created by Meteor without power, food and sunlight. Starving and poor, the people turn to the only place left that might supply them with riches enough to survive the long years ahead and allow them to buy food from what little traders still travel the dangerous roads near Kalm. Midgar sits on the land as a dead zone. But the only place people can scavange the ruins in the bare hope of finding something of worth. Scavenging in Midgar is certainly the only place Marty and his friend Rulf can think of going to improve their luck. But the dead city is too much for the inexperienced and Marty and Rulf soon find themselves stuck in the company of a dangerous man. Vincent Valentine. All the while people have to survive as best they can. Vincent is not the only one that has demons from his past out to destroy him. There are others that suffer as well.
