Grammy Peg’s Bread Stuffing Melt 1 Stick butter in 3 to 4 cups whole milk. Set aside. Toast 1 giant loaf of bread; break into small pieces into a large bowl. Add; 1 small finely chopped onion 2 Tbs. Bells poultry seasoning 1 tsp each salt and pepper Mix well and gradually all the milk/butter mixture till you get the desired consistency. Clean cavity and rub with a little salt. Stuff chicken or turkey just before roasting. This may also be used to stuff pork chops mixed with a can of crabmeat (use ½ recipe) and put into mushroom caps. Enjoy! |
