Summer Dreams
Did you ever watch a small boy
playing by a stream
and wonder what would be
his hopes and dreams?
Did you ever put a sea shell to your ear
and wonder what distant ocean
you would hear?
Did you ever see a bird flying high
up in the sky
and wondered how he navigates with
such a very small eye?
Did you ever see a rainbow's beauty
so radiantly clear
and feel that God was somewhere,
oh so near?

being born
