KozumIR Help Versión en Español

How to create a new program definition

  1. Click the add button "+" and input a name for the new definition.
  2. In the configuration dialog, select the path to the application you want to control using the "Browse..." button.
  3. Start the program you want to control, then click on the crosshair aim. Without releasing the button, take the crosshair over the title bar of your target application and release the button. "ClassName" text should change to your target application's window class name. This name cannot be empty for KozumIR to work.
  4. Use the grid to add commands that will be sent to your target application. First column contains the key names as they are shown in your remote control. In the second column you can input the name for the action that will be performed in your target application, for example, "Volume Up". In the third column you input the keys that will be sent to your target application. Select the appropriate cell using the mouse and press the key(s) you want to send to the target application. For example, for "Volume Up" the key could be "+" on the numpad, which will be shown as "NUM PLUS". Don't worry about these names, they're used by the system to identify keys, you don't need to know them. If you want to send a key combination using any modifier keys such as Control, Alt or Shift, these will appear in their corresponding columns, you just need to press them while you're on the third column.
  5. Press the "OK" button when you're done to apply the current configuration. If you want to modify the preset, just use the edit button "ab" in KozumIR's main window.
