Aug/18/2009 - Important Notice!

Geocities is going to disappear very soon (I forgot the exact date), but there's nothing to worry about! A complete copy of this web site exists at http://www.rphaven.org/gs which, in fact, I've been using as the main site for a while now. Well, that's pretty much it! See ya when I have something else to show/announce/whatever!

Dec/31/2008 - New Flash animation: Pokemon Champion!
Nash Fetchum and his trusty Pokemon companion, Pikachu!
Four years after my last Flash animation, which was also my first, here I go again!

An awesome friend of mine made a badly-written Pokemon fanfiction on purpose, spoofing real bad fictions on the web. And I decided to animate it in Flash, sort of like what they did in the popular "Full Life Consequences" series of videos. And here it is!

- Pokemon Champion on Newgrounds: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/476065

- Pokemon Champion as a stand-alone exeecutable file:

Well, I hope you guys like this thing! :)
Oh, and happy new year!

Nov/18/2007 - New game: Chronicles of Galia, The First Mission! (v1.3)
Jean-Pierre is back!!
Ladies and gentlemen, Jean-Pierre is back.

After 21 months of hard work, the new installment of Jean-Pierre's adventures is complete! This, however, isn't Adventure 4, but a complete overhaul of our favorite knight's first mission! The game has been expanded to epic proportions, by which I mean this game is HUGE! In fact, this could very well be the single biggest QBasic game ever made! Forget what you knew about Adventure; this is a new beginning, and you know you want to play it.

Look for it in this game's official web page!

UPDATE 3 - Dec/03/2007:
Game updated to v1.3.
Fixes a bug with the Blue Pedestals (Zuntrios).

Aug/06/2007 - New comic: Chronicles of Galia!
Chronicles of Galia: Jean-Pierre and Jacques
This is a 6-page comic (plus cover) I made for a comic course I attended about a month ago. It's based on my (I'd like to think) well-known Adventure game series, and it features my characters Jean-Pierre and Jacques. For those who played Adventure 3, this comic is a retelling of Jean-Pierre and Jacques' first meeting.

Note that it's only 6 pages long because that was the limit they imposed to us. They also limited the number of frames in each page to six... though I cheated blatantly and drew seven frames in most of the pages. My teachers didn't seem to care at all. =P

Well, I hope you like it. I know it isn't exactly a masterpiece, nor it intends to be so. If I had more time and room (more pages), I'd have definitely extended the battle scene. But, well, I think it turned out all right anyway, and I'm happy for it.

Look for it in the Stories and Comics section!

Jul/07/2007 - Artwork from the upcoming Adventure game!

It's been a while since I last updated this site; sorry. That's because there weren't many new things to update with anyway. But things might change. For example, here are some enemy designs from my upcoming Adventure game, aptly entitled "Adventure Zero Mission R". Also, I'm working on a 6-page comic featuring Adventure characters Jean-Pierre and Jacques, so there's some BISI stuff to look forward to! :P

Aug/28/2006 - Coy 5 is up!
Coy 5, the sequel to Coy 4, is finally up in full form! You can finally enjoy the continuing adventures of Coy and his friends!

Synopsis: Coy 5 is an epic adventure where the main character is a snail. Once again, the universe is at stake! Join Coy and the other warriors of hope in the fight against Syo Axenn's resurrected clan of darkness! The artwork is dated, but the plot is still quite enjoyable, more so than Coy 4.

Aug/11/2006 - Adventure 3 updated!
Adventure 3, Wrath of Darkness has been updated to v1.3

Version changes are as follows:
- Added 'Lite Graphic Mode' for DOSBox useers. It cancels loading Title Screen graphics.
- Reworked Jean-Pierre rendering routine. Much faster, especially when using DOSBox.
- Fixed the Western Temple's sign saying ""Eastern".

Jul/29/2006 - Minor update.

This is a minor update to le you know that I'm still alive. Progress in my projects continue on at a nice rate. As I said in my previous news post, the Coy 5 English Translation Project is going full steam ahead. Current status of the project follows:

Translation: 86.9% (100 pages out of 115 total)

Coy 5 is an adventure comic book from 1998 made by yours truly. It's the direct sequel to Coy 4. The medallion wars were over, but peace wouldn't last for too long. A new menace looms over the universe as an ancient clan resurfaces from the depths. Its mysterious leader will stop at nothing to accomplish his goal. What that goal is? Nobody knows for sure...
Stay tuned!

Apr/22/2006 - Mirror site expanded!

Well, I finally copied the entire site to the FTP space mentioned in the news entry just below this one. Now this web site has a perfect mirrored site at http://www.rphaven.org/gs/index.html
The Geocities site will continue to be functional, and both will be kept in parallel.
Also, I resumed the Coy 5 English Translation Project, and it's going full steam ahead! Current status of the project follows:

Scanning: 100%
Speech bubble blanking: 100%
Translation: 31.3% (36 pages out of 115 total)

Mar/31/2006 - Coy 4 mirror site!
I recently received some FTP space courtesy of CtrlAltDestroy. It well overcomes the limitations imposed by Geocities, so I decided to upload Coy 4 there, and so I did. Now you can enjoy Coy 4 without worrying about annoying bandwith restrictions and ad pop-ups!
Here's the link to it:

Coy 4 is an adventure comic book from 1996 made by yours truly. Coy the courageous snail must fight Almedor's dark forces in 103 pages of thrills (and amateur artwork :P).

Feb/27/2006 - Void of Illusions updated to v1.1!
Void of Illusions

I have recently subjected Void of Illusions to the first major revision after its original public release on January 2005. I made several changes and enhancements, such as getting rid of Miko's speech impediment, editing out some unneeded characters such as Necrophobia, Cassandra and Kage, changing a few names (Tediz to Teddian, for example), and some other things that are documented in the included changelog.txt file.
Void of Illusions is an epic tale brimming with great adventures, deep characters and exciting battles. Miko, the 6-year-old deishling girl, is suddenly drawn to a quest that would ultimately unveil one of the greatest secrets ever: what is the Void of Illusions!
