Awake I jump and start to weep

The sun breaks the night so dark
Giving forth the songs of larks
Spreading fingers to the cobalt sky
Reaching down to touch my eye

Thanking the lord from above

Rays of sunlight lighten her hair
Spread on the pillow without care

I hung the moon by your window last night
Making it shine in your eyes so bright
Keeping you awake to lie and think
Wondering whatever will life bring

I smile in my mind at the things you say

I hung the moon to your back last night

There is an angel in my ear
Listen closely and you will hear
She sighs and life seems to disappear
She laughs and I feel her oh so near
This angel's like none to come before
She makes the joy of life so clear
She knows how to take away the fear
And change it forever by being near
The time is short and so very rare
For us to know that each is there
The day is near that we may be
As if we're one, she and me

This angel is so very kind
She always knows what's in my mind

The Face of an Angel
The face of an Angel hovered before me
Smiling and joyous as life can be
Light shone from her eyes so bright
Reflecting the happiness of the night
Her hair like gold in the Sun
Gleaming strands showing the light
The voice of an angel touched my ear
Bringing me closer to her heart
An angel stood before me tonight
Touching my face and taking my might
She reached for me with loving care
Gently stroking strands of my hair
I looked at her with all my might
Wishing and hoping she felt for me
All the joy and love that can be
As I tuned to leave and left my heart
A Rose Was Here
A rose fell upon my hand today
Soft and sweet in that special way
She smiled and turned to walk away
I took her hand and asked her to stay
Her scent surrounded me like a cloud
Alive and fresh and oh so proud
We talked of life and what it means
Sharing our deepest hopes and dreams
We talked til the day became the night
Knowing these feelings are so right
She took my hand and felt so light
I wasn't sure it happened that night

Killing Slience
Slience looms like pending doom
Hanging in the air like a haze
Fear hovers above with evil hands
Leaving a shudder within the mind
Aches of loss stab the heart
Doubt probes it's way into the soul
Shaking with pain and fear of loss
Upon the bed I turn and toss
A love so fragile and seeking you
Knows not now what to do
Stepping back at your request
The pain shall tear open my chest
We search through life for the perfect fit
When it comes our spirits lift
Fear of pain makes us wary
Pulling back what we seek
