Title: Brother's Keeper

Story: "The Gehenna Stone Affair" 1/6

A couple of vampire-like characters (Jarocha and Ernst) tries to steal the Gehenna stone, but just before getting caught by the night watchman, the vampire-like creatures drop the stone, only to find it was a fake.

Archie's brother Burt, who is mentally ill and portaits movie characters, is being sued by their late mom's sister, Ruthie. Archie needs to go back to San Francisco to plee his brothers case. Patch , jessica and Archie head back to America.

Jessica returns back to her Detective agency, and a client steps in to hire her for finding out when, how the stone was switched for a fake one.

Burt who was late to his own hearing, appears by riding a horse (courtesy of an Indiana Jones storyline), comes jumping through the window, followed by a gang of vampire-like creatures.

A bar room brawl in the courthouse. Burt escapes with his horse and jessica jumps on to help him. The vampire-like creatures start to chase them in cars. Archie and Patch persue after them in a cop car. Patch uses his claws to disable one of the chase cars and uses his claws to steer one onto a trolley car. The vampire-like creatures are after Burt, as he has a piece of the Gehanna stone. We find out leader is the Evil idol, BA'AL.

Patch, Burt, Jessica and Archie escapes and flies back to Mandipoor.

Wolverine: Issue #13

Title: Blood Ties Story : 3 / 6 The Gehenna Stone Affair!!

While attempting to get back to their plane to head back to Madripoor, the San Francisco Police attempts to stop Patch and crew. Patch jumps out of the convertible and lands on the hood of the police car. Patch dispatches his claws through the hood into the engine block. Momentarily seizing the engine the cop car lurches forward and flings Patch back into the convertible.

A brief history of Ba'al on how he conquered the land and a warrior with an unbreakable sword managed to destroy Ba'al. Ba'al life energies were channeled into the Gehenna Stone and again was shattered by the warrior.

In Madripoor another piece of the stone is with a pair of twins. The piece causes them to react violently and everntually turn on each other. They rest up at the Princess Bar owned by Mate O'Donnell. Later Mate finds the twins had stubbed themselves to death because the stone has driven them crazy.

Patch and crew get jumped at the airport by the leader of the vampirelike creatures. The leader gets the missing piece and defeats Patch. They head for their escape to Madripoor to retrieve the last peace of the stone.

Title: Flying Wolves

Story: 4/6 The Gehenna Stone Affair

O'Donell took the piece of stone and is starting to affect him as well. He has become extremely possessive of the stone and will not have anyone take it from him. Lindsay see's the change in O'Donell.

Patch and crew's plane catches up to Ba'al's plane. Patch puts on his Wolverine costume (Orange and Brown) and jumps after Jessica, who jumped earlier and is clinging onto the fuselage (still has her spiderwoman clinging powers). Jessica already knew Patch was Wolverine and was glad he finally dumped that silly disguise. The battle inside the plane and Ba'al energizes him one of his lackeys into a beast. The fight continues until Ba'al accidently tries to punch Wolverine and instead killed the pilot. Out of control Wolverine and Jessica jump for the extended ladder on Archie's plane. Ba'al's plane explodes.

O'Donell and Lindsay were rudely interrupted by Johann, the Prince's Aide. He comes looking for the last piece of the Gehenna stone.

Wolverine stops a bunch of cops who were hastling with Lindsay MaCabe. He later ends up with O'Donell and archie when a goon squad comes to get him. They escape and go looking for Ba'al.

Meanwhile a gang tries to abduct a prositute for their Master, Ba'al in the streets of Madripoor. Jessica Drew comes and helps out a Indiana Joenes wannabe, Archie's brother, Burt. The gang were using fake fangs to intimadate their victims. Jessica follows the last gang member in hopes to find his hideout. Interesting that the gang member ends up being in the palace and Ba'al is the guest.

Title: Electric Warriors! Story: 6 / 6 The Gehenna Stone Affair!

Patch, Archie and O'Donnell gets jumped by the psedo-vampires. Ba'al offers the prince immortality. But the prince decides he will think it over, Ba'al being arrogant decides he must decide now. The prince tries to get his guards to remove Ba'al. Ba'al decides to go for the last piece of the stone and rips it out of Johann.

After Ba'al puts in the last stone, he begins to transform. Suddenly all the Ba'al's followers actual start transforming into the real vampires they pretended to be. Wolverine attacks Ba'al and is losing the battle. Ba'al drops the stone when Burt uses his whip to snap the stone. Wolverine pounces on the stone but Ba'al recovers in time.

They end up battling until both fall out of the Castle into the sea. Once the stone is shattered Ga'al dies.

This is the first John Byrne rendition of Wolverine since way back in Uncanny X-men#142. It's great to see him back drawing Wolverine (even though it's just the breakdowns, Klaus Janson is the finishing artitst).

This one has it all. Flash backs with Lord Shingen (Wolverine & Kitty Pride mini-series), Special appearances , Storm, Daredevil and Gateway.

A new villian appears in Madipoor, a fellow named Geist. Logan battles Roughouse and defeats him once again. Roughouse gets dumped into the streets and General Coy's men pick up the bodyguard and makes a deal. General Coy makes a cash deal to sellout Roughouse to Geist. Geist ends up experimenting on Roughouse. Logan follows a convoy of drugs but ends up coming to the rescue Roughouse?

Giest gives a quick rendition of his history. Creating a super-soldier (ie Captain America) with drugs. Wolverine tries to get the semi-conscious Roughouse. Roughouse who has been drugged and shaved, awakens and attacks wolverine, with the help of Geist using tranquilizers to defeat Wolverine. General Coy ends up with Wolverine, as they take off they ditch his body into the ocean.

Tyger, O'Donell and Archie drags him out of the ocean. They start to head to Tierra Verde.

Wolverine: Issue # 19

Title: Heroes and Villians Story: 3 / 7 __________________________1st appearance of La Bendera

Wolverine ends up in Puerto Verde, Capital city of Tierra Verde. He encounters a struggle between a young woman, La Bendera and the fearsome Tiger Shark. Wolverine gives La Bendera a hand (claw) to temporaily defeat Tiger Shark.

Cameo appearance by Kingpin, Dr. Doom, Magneto and Red Skull (Acts of Vengeance crossover).

Wolverine captures Geist and goes to find and free Roughouse (who has become stronger and more violent). Along the way to find Roughouse, Tiger Shark attacks Wolverine. Battling in Tiger sharks element, water, wolverine tries to escape by diving to the depths instead of the surface. Only to backfire as Tiger shark gets the upper hand.

In the meantime, La Bendera and her revolutionaries attack Geist's stronghold.

A fierce battle between Tiger shark and Wolverine. Wolverine gets his claws pinned into the coral reef. Wolverine manages to escape this death trap and help La Bendera free Roughouse. Roughouse has mutated into a body of spores or puss, by all the cocaine drugs pumped into him by Giest.

The sister (Generals' wife) can absorb the pain and drugs that has effected Roughouse blood stream. They manage to escape on a helicopter.
