To all of you who have taken the time to stop here and read my poetry and those of my friend Kim and Ruth, I thank you. Personnally I have never had an easy time of sharing my own. To me it's very private and personal. But I welcome all your thoughts and opinion and any question you might have. Thanks you again for stopping by. Paula

Something Snazzy
******NEW****** 10/11/99
The haze sets in
and I'm left dizzy,
Spinning my own wheels
Where were you when I needed you.
Where were you when I called
You promised me you'd be there.
But here I am left spinning my wheels alone.
My heart lays shattered on the ground
as you walk by
holding her hand.
I watch you smile at her,
memory drifting back to when that was me.
Didn't I love you enough?
Didn't I give you enough?
I thoguht I did
But here I am left spinning my wheels alone.
Now you come to me,
you wanna be friends
stupid me, I say ok
You didn't even give me the time of day.
What I should have said was 'Fuck You'.
But my heart lays shattered on the ground
As you walk by
holding her hand.
I watch you smile at her
Memory drifting back to when that was me.
And here I am left spinning my wheels alone.
Oceanus
There among the ocean,
I float.
Salty blueness
swarming around
me.
Cold
flushing
wetness
against my skin
I float.
Closing my eyes,
the moon
shines
down
on me.
Soft pale light,
I float.
Gentle breeze
brushing by me,
warm wind
singing quietly.
Untitled
A soft touch,
a gentle curve,
the feel of your body
beneathe mine.
Sweet heaven.
Desire
Through soft light I watch,
you move with ease and grace;
I yearn to feel your hands on,
my skin
set aflame
burning bright
hot
wild
you tame me
you enflame me.
Adiago
The taste of wine on my lips,
dark,
rich,
smoky,
Passion fills my senses
music fills my ears
And I fly.
By Faith and Faith Alone
O my love, my heart’s desire,
How I long to hold you,
Close, so I can feel you, smell you on me,
revel in your warmth.
What I wouldn’t give to be able to hold you in my arms.
Keep you safe. Love you. O what I wouldn’t
give for that chance.
But alas, life is cruel and my heart’s desire shall remain unfulfilled.
Life as cruel as it is, gives few chances
and I don’t plan on missing mine.
The day will come.
And you will be mine.
You will love me, for I have the greatest
faith in you.
And faith alone gives
miracles.
Open Your Eyes Love Lost Life Within Death
Others’ fear of them, the different, One man’s Forcing us to suffer Old as well as young More on the way. But in the mean time email me at and let know what you think.Opinions
How can I make you see the beauty you have inside,
How can I make you understand the gifts you have been given.
Do you even want to see?
Or are you content in your self-made hell,
you wallow and pity yourself, unaware of your surroundings.
Open your eyes and see for yourself.
It is not as bleak as you think.
Just open your eyes and LOOK.
Love taken for granted, taken away.
Never is the pain greater than at that moment.
Realization hits, heart shatters.
‘What have I lost,’ something that cannot be found again.
We are most aware when tragedy is about,
Clarity comes only in the wake of darkness;
light only comes with understanding;
And peace only comes with acceptance.
They stand staring
at you.
Men sent to their death.
The wire fence imprisoning them.
Their hope dissipating a little more
as the days go by,
their sacred beliefs and their
faith in their God,
Keeping them in this rancid place.
immuring the innocent,
And for what?
Twisted
Foul
Judgment.
Hail Hitler! they all yell.
Willing to die for a lunatic
who would not think twice to lead
them to their doom.
Everyone is expendable here.
while watching friends
and loved ones fade away.
Buchenwald.
A camp the soldiers called it.
The living dead,these
men are;
Body
Soul
And heart.
As we look into the camera,
Questioning and curious
as to what the photographer
wants.
One man, with a dark beard,
eyes frigid,
contemptful.
Daring the man behind the camera.
"Look, Look! Look and not see us."
