~The Ghimm Peninsula~
A long narrow peninsula that stretches from the north shore of  Tokugawa far out into the waters of the Irian ocean. It is a bleak highland covered in short scrubby pine and long, open stretches of barren, windblown rock. The coastline is an unbroken line of hard, sheer cliffs and ripped by deep fjords that cut into the peninsula like knife wounds.

The open  land offers little comfort for the living and few animals make there home here year round. During the short spring the rocky soil blooms with small flowers and the clouds of insects that rise from the forest floor can block out the sun. The cliffs come alive with the cries of flocks of birds who come to lay there eggs in the shelter of the fjords and the few small beaches come alive with the seals and walrus who come to calve. The seas team with life as schools of fishes migrate through the waters. With the abundance of life come death as well. Sura Kappa raid the beaches for unwatched calves and bird's eggs. Tigerwhales and obsidian sharks prowl the waters while eclipse-eagles and wyvern patrol the skies.

To this rugged environment, the Kobito fled during the chaos of the Foundling war.
Building their villages on the small, rocky beaches between  the narrow fjords. They are a people as hardy as the land. Living off the land and sea as pirates, traders and fishermen they venture into the cold Irain sea and venture far beyond the Tsukiakari Teikoku to ports deep in the corrupted lands. Returning to the safer shores of the the coatal provinces they trade their goods from beyond the Twilight Wall for woods and tools to upkeep their longboats.

A few Kobito live in the central plateau, mostly as farmers or miners, drawing a hard living from the shallow soil and hard stone.

~The City of Masks~

A day's travel west from the Twilight Wall a lone  city stands at the edge of the Quiet Desert. For the people of Tsukiakari Teikoku, the City of Masks stands as a gateway, the last known point before the unknown, corrupted lands. To the inhabitants, and those that come out of the corrupted lands, the City is the last free marketplace for good coming into, and out of the Moonlight Empire.

The city streets teem with the faces of a thousand different cultures, Oni, Human, Kobitio and even Sennyo mix with giants, ogres, and hundreds of other races touched by the corruption.

Those who call this city home wear delicate, painted porcelain masks whenever in public.

Beyond this lone city,  a single road leads into the Quiet Desert and the rest of the Corrupted World.
