Tolkien Timeline - The Lost Road - First Age

This Timeline is in permanent construction. Suggestions are welcome. It is based on Tolkien's texts in 1937 and 1938, between the publication of _The Hobbit_ and the begining of _The Lord of The Rings_. This chronology uses mainly The Later Annals of Beleriand , pages 125ss of _The Lost Road_

The Moon is made. Fingolfin sets foot in the North of Beleriand

The Sun is made. Fingolfin's host marches, while flowers spring beneath their feet.

Men awakes in the East

Fingolfin encamps in Mithrim

Fingon, son of Fingolfin, rescues Maidros from Thangorodrim

Mereth-Aderthad, the Feast and Games of Reuniting, is held in Nan-Tathrin, the Vale of Willows, near the mouth of Sirion

Felagund son of Finrod finds the caves of Narog and begins the building of Nargothrond

Turgon son of Fingolfin finds the hidden valley of Gondolin

Dagor Aglared, the Glorious Battle (the Second Battle)

The Siege of Angband begins

Turgon gets one third of the folk of Fingolfin, and begins the building of Gondolin

Brithombar and Eglorest are built to fair towns

The Tower of Tindobel is set up upon the cape west of Eglorest

Eärendel comes to Valinor and speaks for the Two Races

Maidros and Maglor dwell in Amon Ereb. Morgoth attack them, and they flee to the Isle of Balar

Fionwë son of Manwë with the host of Valinor comes to Beleriand

Ingwiel, son of Ingwë, lands in Eldorest. Battle of Eldorest

Fionwë summons Elves, Dwarves and Men to fight Morgoth. Many did not obey
