Chapter four

Spike went to Buffy he put his arm
around her. "You're shivering pet.
Are you okay?" he asked concerned.

"You meant it didn't you? You would
kill her to protect me?" she asked
in a dazed voice.

Spike looked at her and smiled, "Of
course I meant it. I told you I loved
you. I may be alot of things, a lot of
bad things. But I don't lie about love."

"I guess I should head home now. Its
getting late." she told him as she
gathered her things.

"Don't go Buffy, please. Is you Mother
expecting you?" he asked hoping she wasn't.

"No, shes out of town again." Buffy replied,
"I guess I could stay in the guest room, okay?"

Spike nodded his head yes. He didn't care
where she slept as long as she was near him.
He longed to touch her, but didn't want to
push.

It was late, he took her by the hand and led
her to the guest room. "Sleep tight" he said
as he kissed the top of her head and closed
the door.

Buffy was so confused, she wasn't sure what
she wanted anymore. She fell into an uneasy
sleep, she had a nightmare. Dru was trying
to kill Angel, she had dreamed this before.
When she looked again it was Spike that Dru
was trying to kill. She woke up in a cold
sweat, shaking in the bed. Spike heard
her stirring and opened the door to check
on her, she was visibly upset. He went in
and sat beside her on the bed.

"Nightmare?" he asked quietly.

"Yes, and old one and a new one. Lucky me!"
she said sarcastically.

"Well, if you are okay, I"ll leave" he said and
got up from the bed.

She looked at him and made a decision "Please
don't go." She said as she pulled him close to
her and put her mouth on his. She gently
pulled off his shirt and pulled him even closer.

"Buffy, do you really want..." he didn't get to
finish his question as she whispered "Yes, I really
want to" in his ear. Soon the rest of the world
dissappeared, no Angel, no Dru, just the two of
them.

Spike lay watching her sleep next to him. She
had a small smile on her face, he traced her
cheek with his finger lightly. He thought
"Its finally happened! She is mine." He fell
asleep next to her a smile on his face.
