Questions
by A. Price
Oz watched Willow as her head was bent over a book in the library.
She noticed he was looking at her, looked up and flashed him that
Willow smile. She went back to studying.
Oz absentmindedly looked at his book. He couldn't concentrate he
wanted to ask Willow a question. But he wasn't sure how to do it.
They had been together for three years now, he couldn't remember
life before her and couldn't imagine the future without her.
Willow picked up her books and said to Oz,"Are you ready? I've got
an early class tomorrow and you have to work." Willow was in her
sophomore year at the University. Oz was a junior, he worked three
days a week at a computer place that worked around his schedule.
Oz drove Willow to her apartment, "Do you want to come in?" she asked
sweetly.
"Not tonight, I've got to work tomorrow." said Oz in a strange voice.
Willow kissed him goodnight and got out of the van.
He watched her go into her apartment and thought about what he wanted
to ask her. He loved Willow, and wanted her in his life permanently.
He wasn't sure is she would want to marry a guy who was a werewolf
thee nights a month. He wasn't sure if they would have were-children!
He was only sure that he wanted to marry her. He would go talk to Giles
he was he answer man.
"Hello!" said a sleepy Giles as he answered the door. "Oh, its you Oz,
whats wrong the full moon isn't for another three weeks."
"I've got to get some answers and you are the only one who can give
help." said Oz seriously.
"Well, certainly, come on in, I'll fix tea." replied Giles.
Oz didn't really like tea, but this was Giles home. So he had a cup
it was surprisingly soothing.
"Okay, what answers do you need?" asked Giles interestedly.
"If a guy who was a werewolf part of the time, wanted to get married
and have a family, would his children be werewolves?" asked Oz.
Giles looked surprised but realized he shouldn't be. Even if Oz was
a werewolf, he and Willow had the most normal relationship in their
group. "Actually thats an interesting question from what I've read
your children should be perfectly normal. Lycanthropy is like a curse
put on your family, so that for example, the first born son in every
tenth generation is a werewolf. Your cousing Jordy and yourself are
affected, but it skips your children unless they are bitten. Its all
very interesting. I was reading the other day that some families..."
Oz interrupted Giles "Thats all I need to know Giles, thanks." he said
with relief in his voice.
"I suppose you are talking about a family with our Willow, correct?"
Giles smiled at him and asked.
Oz smile and nodded yes. "I've got to go now Giles."
The next day on his lunch break, Oz went to the jewelry store. He
picked out a lovely oldfashioned engagement ring. He went back to
work thinking about when he could pop the question.
Willow was walking across the campus as Oz pulled up. He looked at
her "Who is that girl? Oh yeah! Thats my Willow, the love of my life,
the woman I'm going to marry.!" he thought to himself. He parked and
waved at her.
Willow smiled as she walked to the van. He got out and gave her a hug.
"Are you okay? You were acting a little strange last night." she asked
with concern.
"Well, you see I'm nervous about something" he said with a smile.
"Really, what?" asked Willow.
"Well, I'm going to ask you to marry me. And I'm nervous!" he said
slowly.
Willow looked at him with a smile. "Well if it makes it any easier,
I'm going to say yes!"
"It does, it gives me a comfort zone. Will you marry me Willow
Rosenberg?" he got down on one knee and dug the ring out of his pocket.
"Yes, yes, yes!" said Willow with tears in her eyes. Oz placed the
ring on her finger and stood up, they kissed.
Oz thought he was the luckiest guy in the world. Buffy was great,
Cordelia was hot, but he had won first prize, he had Willow!
