Geijon's Study, Sword & Chaplet by Evialla

[Geijon's Study]
You arrive in a well lit room filled with shelves housing all sorts of books and other assorted literary works. Scrolls and rolled up parchments are set neatly on the bookshelves in some type of numerical order. A pleasing scent of ancient but well-cared for leather greets your senses, along with the faint but unmistakable fragrance of freshly baked cookies. Glancing around the rest of the room you see an extravagently carved modwir desk with a soft centaur hide chair behind it. A set of armor that is finely crafted also sits on a stand. Further light is filtered through two large stained glass windows as you gaze around the room.

The room is quiet, save for the occasional crackle and hiss from the warm, cheery fire burning brightly in the large stone fireplace set against the northern wall, interspersed with the faint whispering shuffle of the turn of a well-worn page, and the low creak of weight shifted comfortably in the large armchair behind the desk. From somewhere unseen but very nearby, you hear the sound of a gentle female voice softly humming an ancient, soothing melody, broken by a momentary outburst of an unrepressed soft giggle. The fireplace's sturdy mantle of carved oak is polished to a soft sheen and decorated with neatly arranged stacks of books and carefully arranged small treasured momentos collected over a lifetime of travel, adventure, conquest, and tender moments of the heart.

Glancing atop the polished oak mantle, you see a frayed coppery toy angel, a fluffy white toy kitten, a bright yellow ball, and inexplicably..a troll wart. A vaalin lyre medallion hangs from a silver chain above the mantle, sparkling softly in the flickering firelight.

Ahh, it seems like Geijon is in today. Hoping to not disturb him you look at him and size him up patiently as he scribbles in his Journal.

You see Lord Geijon Khyree the Giantman Blademaster.
He appears to be in his 90's, has long, braided light brown hair, blue eyes, and tanned skin.
He is in good shape.
He has a rising phoenix tattoo on his chest.
He is wearing a starstone engagement band, a white bearskin cloak embroidered with a midnight blue symbol of Voln, silver fist cloak clasp, a black enameled bracer with a silver gryphon set in a ruby circle, a stunningly well made black tunic stitched with golden thread and with a midnight blue Voln symbol etched into its breast, a silver edged black silk vest, some black warrior monk breeches with a golden Voln symbol on the thigh, a gold-inlaid myklian scale belt, an ivory and jade buckle, some veniom-worked boots, some soft grey thrak hide gloves, a glowing silver Kai crest set upon a pair of studded eonake gauntlets, some veniom studded armguards, some heavy eonake leg greaves, a gold-edged golvern coif, an imflass threaded war harness, an enruned dark imflass scabbard, a golvern-bound black vultite shield, a golden phoenix pin, a Warrior Guildmaster pin, a carved monir Voln symbol, a golden dragon medallion, a shiny silver knight pin, an emerald falcon pin, a silver lizard skull earring, a gold-stringed thraak skin sack, a gleaming mithril mesh satchel, and a midnight blue veniom-threaded backpack.

Peering more closely at the gleaming mithril mesh satchel, which he is wearing, you see that painted on the fine surface of the mithril mesh is Kai raising a spear in triumph over a fallen troll king.

He seems occupied, so you continue to look around. Checking over on the armor rack you admire the set more closely. It appears to be jet black brigandine armor trimmed with gold and engraved with the image of a fiery phoenix rising from a mystical graveyard.

A black fringed wight skin jacket also hangs next to it on a smaller hook, peering at it, the high-collared jacket is sewn of strips of wight skin, their shadows darkened further by a dye of midnight black. The sleeves and waist are fringed with rows of polished wight talons, and an image of Kai in battle with a ferocious undead beast is embossed on the back.

You reach out to touch it when Geijon looks up and notices you.

Geijon says "Nice Jacket, eh. Mah wife Evi mades it fer mah..actually she don't do dat. I spoilt her tae much. Fine work though.

Chuckling to himself he leans back in his chair and looks you over, smiling jovially and his blue eyes sparkling.

Geijon asks "I look old, don't I?"

He raises an eye over in your direction and pulls out his cane. Standing up quickly he leans on it and then almost as a pun breaks it over his knee and returns to his seat.

Geijon exclaims "Bah! I'm not that old!"

He grins again and leans back, glancing over at the shelves.

Geijon politely begins to talk to you. "Ahh came to explore and learn a bit. Feel free to look around for a bit if you wish, it doesn't bother me if yer quiet. Many good works in there so enjoy. I have. You might even find a few I've done."

Smiling he winks at you and returns to his work.

You peer along the shelves and begin to poke around and look for certain books spying several interesting ones that stand out.

The Warrior's Journal

After peering around for a bit you decide to have a seat on the comfortable benches located near the center concourse of the room. Looking up again Geijon smiles.

Geijon says, "Hmm..maybe I'll tell you a bit about myself. Hows that?"

Glancing at the blue bound "Warrior's Journal" still grasped within your hand, he smiles as he stretches, and shows you a Warrior Guildmaster pin, which he is wearing. Geijon says, "Lot 'o hard work represented by this little pin. Have a closer look if you like."

Looking closely you see that the pin is finely crafted of golvern, and has three diamonds placed on it. Engraved neatly on the surface is "Guildmaster Geijon Khyree, Master of Berserking, Master of War Cries, Master of Battering Barriers."

Geijon interrupts with a nod. "I'm still young, but I've traveled with some pretty interesting folks and seen some amazing things. I know ders many more out der dat hae done much more, but I can tell you a few of the tales I've heard and been part of."

Geijon winks and rubs his chin. He then chuckles and asks, "Whar should I begin?"

Geijon waves and shouts as you go, "I'm still refurbishing and moving all my things in. Evialla doesn't like packing. Just bloody shopping!"

Geijon flails and yells one last time, "Come back soon and perhaps I'll remember more!"
