Meanwhile, in Macross City, Sharon Apple absorbs Myung's thoughts and twists them in a terrifying fashion. She now has full conrtol over the city as well as teh minds of its citizens. Sharon sends the "Ghost X-9" after Isamu and Guld. Enjoy the movies! MOST of the main Macross/Robotech characters and a very short description. Minmay -- She can be considered the official launching point of Macross, beginning in the TV series Superdimentional Fortress Macross. Once a dreamy singer-wannabe waitress at a family restaurant, she made it big on board the SDF-1 when she became the inspirational idol singer for all of civilization on the ship. She has a carefree, ultra-bubbly attitude, and seems to know nothing but the positive side of things (until the end of Macross, that is). Also stars in the movie Macross: Do You Remember Love?. Misa Hayase -- This is the other lead female character in the TV series Superdimensional Fortress Macross and the movie Macross: Do You Remember Love?. She is also known as Lisa Hayes in the English dub Robotech. She is a bridge officer of the SDF-1. She shows off her hard, independent edge, and is not known by many as the warm-hearted woman she really is underneath her cold exterior. Love conquers over her, a recurring theme in the Macross series. Hikaru Ichijyo (Rick Hunter) The main male character of the early Macross series and the American series. At the invitation of his sempai Roy Focker, this brash air circus pilot flew his fan racer into the midst of the Macross space launch ceremony. A Zentradi offensive and a series of unlikely circumstances led him to meet Lynn Minmay and Misa Hayase. Throughout the conflict, Hikaru/Rick struggles with his inner feelings in regard to his role in the war. Over the next few, war-torn years, Rick grows as a skilled Veritech pilor as well as a person. The sobering experiences of war, death of loved ones and consequences of one’s action, mold him into a couragous and strong leader. A role he reluctantly accepts. He finally realizes his love for Misa/Lisa and eventually marries her and he becomes an general of the RDF Maximilian Jenius (Max Sterling) Maximilian is simply without equal in the Battroid cockpit. Even without the tutelage of a sempai that Hikaru had, he rapidly rises in the ranks and eventually leads his own squadron. His unusually deep voice is a great asset in his "girl hunt," although he will find his match only in the form of a Zentradi ace pilot. The marriage of Max and Milia help bring the Zentradi to the Space War I truce table and also beget seven daugthers. After Space War I, he captains a variety of United Nations Spacy ships until eventually commanding the Macross 7 colonization fleet. Miriya Fallyna Jenius -- Miriya is a Zentradi warrior (actually a Meltran, or female Zentran) from the TV series Superdimentional Fortress Macross and English dub Robotech (as Miriya Parina Sterling). She is known among the Zentradi as the single best fighter pilot amongst them. Naturally, she has a dark character. That is, until she goes aboard the SDF-1 as a spy in micronized form. There, she meets her equal in fighting strength, Maximillian Jiinas (Max Sterling, Robotech). They fall in love and become the first ever Human-Zentran couple. She also appears briefly in the movie Macross: Do You Remember Love?. Claudia LaSalle -- Claudia is Misa's companion and fellow bridge officer in the TV series Superdimensional Fortress Macross and movie Macross: Do You Remember Love?. She too is in Robotech as Claudia Grant. Claudia is very kind and gentle, in contrast to Misa's temper as seen early in the series. Claudia acts as Misa's guide through hard times in the area of love and friendship. She is never seen angry, and always seems to look on the bright side of things. Perhaps she is the most optimistic character in the entire Macross series. Roy Focker --Roy first flew as a stunt pilot in Hikaru Ichijyo's father's air circus until joining the United Nation Forces as a fighter pilot. Despite his long absense during the United Nations Wars and the death of Hikaru's father, Hikaru still remained close and considered him his sempai. After the end of that war, he involved himself in the VF-X development project (the predecessor to the VF-1 Valkyrie), and his experience earned him the command of the VF-1 Skull Squadron aboard the CVS-101 Prometheus. Macross Plus Myung Fan Lone -- Myung is the female lead in the Original Animation Video series and movie Macross Plus. She is very different from previous Macross women in the sense that she is not bubbly nor constantly angry, yet like them she loves to sing; however, she claims to have given up her singing, which is very unusual in relation to her childhood. She is disturbed by an event of the past, which is pretty much the center of the plot in Macross Plus. She is a bit passive, unangry but also unhappy, perhaps due to her past. She is also trapped in an indecisive love triangle. All in all, Myung can be considered the best representation of a real human being. Lucy MacMillan -- Lucy plays a minor role in the Original Animation Video series and movie Macross Plus. She is a potential rival to Myung on one side of the love triangle. Not much can be said about her, except that she is an unfortunate character. Early on she is an attractive and fun-loving character, with a carefree attitude on life. Her situation deteriorates as the series progresses, and somewhat becomes a more realistic Minmei by the end of the series. Isamu Alva Dyson --Tanned young pilot with medium-length dark-brown hair Two things distinguish this ace UN Spacy pilot: an astronomical kill ratio and a gutsy independent streak. So, it was no surprise that the UN Spacy reassigned him to New Edwards Test Flight Center as the test pilot for the YF-19 prototype variable fighter. Here on Planet Eden, he will challenge his vaunted prowess and confront some troubling memories from his youth. Guld Goa Bowman --Tall ashen-grey pilot with dark green short-cropped and pony-tailed hair He's one of the "Peace Children" -- a growing number of offsprings of Zentradi Miclones and Earth Humans. His hardened expression belies both a brilliant mind and an incendiary temper. The civilian enterprise General Galaxy assigned him to design and pilot to their latest research testbed, the YF-21. This pits him in not-so-friendly competition with Isamu. Once friends and now rivals, the two harbor an animosity that has deepened over the years. Sharon Apple --A black box/woman with needle-sharp eyebrows and long red hair (or longer black or shorter orange or ....) In the truest tradition of idol singers, this star rose from total obscurity in 2039 to become "the idol of the new generation." Unlike the rest of the recent wave of idols however, Sharon is a computer-generated virtual reality singer. Despite this (or perhaps because of this), the virturoid's explosive popularity has grown on Earth and the planets colonized by Humans. "She" has come to Eden to perform her first concert there. Identification Code: DECU6000 (Sound Unit) Mospeada - (The 3rd Generation - Robotech) SCOTT BERNARD-- Japanese Name: Steik Bernard --- Robotech Expeditionary Force (REF) Pilot and sole survivor of the Mars Division assault on Reflex Point, Scott Bernard has one goal; defeat the Invid at ANY cost. After surviving crash-landing on Earth, Scott tries to recruit others who are willing to fight the Invid, and eventually succeeds in gathering a group of freedom fighters to help him in his quest. Scott is very determined and single-minded at the start of the series, but starts to lighten up when he meets and falls in love with Marlene, who reminds him of his former girlfriend who was killed in battle. Scott's world is turned upside-down when he learns that Marlene is actually an Invid; a member of the race he is trying to destroy. LANCER --Japanese Name: Yellow Belmont -- A skilled pilot and freedom fighter who joins up with the team in the third episode. In order to escape the Invid, Lancer created the female personality of Yellow Dancer and uses her to do undercover work for the team. Near the end of the series Lancer falls in love with an Invid named Sera, and together they help to form a tentative peace between both sides at the end of the series. RAND --Japanese Name: Rei -- A young and arrogant wanderer/freedom fighter, Rand is a self-taught survivor. When Rand meets and joins up with Scott Bernard, he begins to learn the value of friendship and teamwork and becomes less of a loner. Rand falls in love with Rook early on in the series, but it takes nearly until the end of the series before she returns the feelings. ROOK BARTLEY --Japanese Name: Fuke Eroze -- Rook grew up among the ruins and gang wars that followed the Second Robotech War, and learned how to be tough and independent at an early age. In fact, she has built up so much emotional armor around herself that she has trouble relating to other people. Like Rand, though, she eventually learns to drop her armor and care for other people again while being part of Scott's team. Near the end of the series Rook falls in love with Rand. ANNIE (MINT) --Japanese Name: Mint Rubble -- The youngest member of the resistance fighters, Annie is a spunky and obnoxious little girl who always wants to be in the middle of the action (often getting in over her head). Despite her annoying and troublesome antics her teammates love her and would go to great lengths for her. LUNK -- Japanese Name: Jim Austin -- An ex-Southern Cross mechanic, Lunk is a good source of technical and moral support for the rest of the team. However, Lunk himself is plagued with worries and insecurities from his actions during the initial invasion of the Invid, where he was forced to run away and watch as friends of his were killed. Lunk desperately wants to prove to himself that he has courage, and believes that he can do that by staying with Scott's team. MARLENE (A.K.A. ARIEL) -- Japanese Name: Marlene -- Marlene is the first humanoid Invid created by the Regis (see below) to spy on Scott Bernard's team. However, during her insertion into the team she is hurt and loses all of her memory. Believing her to be a wounded human female, the team takes her in and cares for her. Through them Marlene learns human customs and emotions, and eventually falls in love with Scott Bernard. Though shocked when she rediscovers that she is an Invid, Marlene recovers and manages (along with Sera) to convince the Regis to flee Earth rather than fight to the finish. SERA -- Japanese Name: Sorji -- Along with Corg, Sera is the result of the Regis' second attempt to create a humanoid Invid. At first a cunning and ruthless warrior, she eventually falls prey to human emotions and begins to fall in love with Lancer. Although she has trouble understanding these newfound feelings, she eventually realizes the futility of her races' actions and helps Marlene to convince the Regis to flee Earth. CORG -- Japanese Name: Batra -- Another humanoid Invid created by the Regis, Corg also falls victim to human emotions like Marlene and Sera. However, instead of friendship and love Corg learns hate and aggression, and directs his violent feelings towards his enemies. An extremely skilled fighter, he is responsible for many REF deaths during the final battle and almost succeeds in killing Lancer, Rook, and Rand. He is finally defeated and killed by Scott Bernard in the final episode. Back to the Parlor This page hosted by Get your own Free Home Page

SCOTT BERNARD-- Japanese Name: Steik Bernard --- Robotech Expeditionary Force (REF) Pilot and sole survivor of the Mars Division assault on Reflex Point, Scott Bernard has one goal; defeat the Invid at ANY cost.
