Toronto Trip 2000

This trip was an awful lot of fun, and I'm sorry it had to end!  We left at midnight on Friday, May 12. The ride up was a nightmare because of the Tick incident.  And I capitalize Tick because this was no normal tick.  This was the mother of all ticks.  This Tick was large enough to take over the world if it had the intelligence to do it.  In any case, I stopped worrying about the Tick shortly after we arrived at the Falls, which can be seen to the right here.

Once we were at the falls (at 7:30 in the morning, mind you!), the mist kinda froze us all half to death.  Then the mist started doing evil things to our hair.  Not that most of us cared.  However, there were a select few  (Jessica) who refused to have their picture taken because of this catastrophe!  Tehehe.  I can get around stuff like that...as you can see from this picture of the above-mentioned person having a bad hair day.

After the Falls, we went to the little town of Niagara and had a particularly bad lunch experience which I whined about for the rest of the trip. :-)  We then headed for our hotel, and did absolutely nothing until we got ready for dinner in Chinatown and then to Mamma Mia!  We weren't at all scared of Chinatown (didn't even occur to us) until Mr. Templeton started talking about being careful where you go to eat, and make sure your purses are around your necks, etc.  Then we all decided to panic and flock to the nearest chaperones.  Anyway, after an hour in Chinatown, we packed ourselves back into the bus and took off for the show.  It was very energetic and all, but I hated it anyway.  It was based on a bunch of pre-existing Abba songs.  That just isn't what I like in a musical.  Day one of the Toronto Trip is now complete. :-)
