Happy New Year!

Okay, so it's been a while.  I'll be honest, this is probably going to be the last update to this website.  I'm putting most of my web-page-building time into the other site, trying to make it as professional as possible, while not becoming a pretentious ass.  Perhaps a hopeless task, but I might as well try.

In reference to my last update: I still feel that something is missing from my life.  But I still haven't the slightest idea what it is.  I'm beginning to figure out what it *isn't*: it's not school, it's not a job, it's not friends.  Today is a beautiful day, and it made me so happy to be outside this morning.

I'm tired.

But I'm happy.  I'm not exactly content: There are so many things I want to do, and I'm just restless to go out and do them.  But I refuse to do anything by myself.  Therein lies my problem.  I need a companion, a best friend, a boyfriend, anybody with whom I can spend a lot of time, and with whom I can do some of these things that I so badly crave to do.  I haven't had a best friend since I came up here, and it certainly explains a lot.

You ever watch the news or read the paper, and just wonder how some people can be so stupid?  I'm not even talking about the sick, twisted, barbaric, inhuman beasts who try to do harm to other living beings.  I'm referring to people who mess up their future, or their present, because of a stupid mistake.  People shouldn't be able to claim ignorance anymore; why do we as a culture allow them to?

Looking forward to La Cage.  Looks like a lot of fun.

Directing is not nearly as hard as creating the scenario.  This is what I have learned from my first directing assignment.

And as this is my last update, allow me to leave you with a few pearls of wisdom that I have learned (most of them the hard way):
-Don't let an opportunity to be happy pass you by.  You never know when the next one will be.
-Hug someone whenever you get a chance.  You never know when the next one will be.
-Procrastination is rarely the best course of action.
-Appreciate the outdoors.  Land is always there, and will always be there.  There is a reason that who you are and where you come from is called your 'roots'.  Gerald O'Hara knew what he was talking about.
-Find you.  Then be what you find.  Try to filter all the bullshit out.
-When you do something, put everything you have into it.  In that way, you'll be surprised where you find happiness.

Thank you all.  Keep in touch.
