NEVE CAMPBELL : SIDNEY
NEVE CAMPBELL brings a new look and a new attitude to the role of Sidney Prescott in SCREAM 2. "She went through some extremely traumatic experiences in the first film, so she's had to grow up a lot and become strong and self-sufficient," said Campbell.

Campbell came to the SCREAM 2 set in Atlanta straight from Miami where she starred opposite Matt Dillon and Kevin Bacon in the feature film "Wild Things." Mid-way through production of SCREAM 2, she also began work on the fourth season of the acclaimed Fox Television drama "Party of Five."

Campbell's next feature film role is in Miramax Films' "54," opposite Mike Myers.

Campbell grew up in Toronto, Canada, where she studied at the National Ballet School of Canada. She made her acting debut at age 15 in the Toronto premiere of "Phantom of the Opera" directed by Hal Prince.

Campbell's character is a drama major in SCREAM 2, giving director Wes Craven the welcome opportunity to take the action inside a theater. "The necessity for theater and the ancient nature of it are a central theme," Craven explained.
