eloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby, know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God. And this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4: 1-3) KJV

EXTRA-BIBLICAL & BIBLICAL UFOs

The history of imps, fairies, gnomes, goblins, dwarfs and various assorted bogeymen have been around for centuries. I myself particularly like the leprechaun. But let's separate some of the myth from the reality.

The Book of Enoch

As we've already seen, Jude mentions this apochrypal, pseudepigraphical work in his epistle. Oxford's renown Dr. R. H. Charles footnoted his 1913 translation with an allusion to early Zoroastrian myth but the fact that it is mentioned in canon lends some divine credibility to it

Not only does Enoch discuss the fall of angels known as "Watchers," it catalogues 200 of them -- Semjaza as leader, Azazel, tenth in command, etc. In addition to Michael and Gabriel, it also catalogues other heavenly angels such as Raphael and Uriel (sent to Lamech and Noah). Gabriel was sent to destroy the children of the Watchers (who failed their God-given task) but their spirits were free to seek habitation until the final judgment. Scary stuff. Strong biblical exegetes ONLY!

Genesis 6 - Josephus' View

The famed first century Jewish historian in his Antiquities 3:1 expressed the common opinion of the forefathers -- that the fallen angels were the fathers of the mythical (?) Greek Titans.

"They (the sons of Seth) now showed by their actions a double degree of wickedness, whereby they made God to be their enemy. For many angels of God accompanied with women and begat sons that proved unjust, despisers of all that was good, on account of the confidence they had in their own strength. For the tradition is, that these men did what resembled the acts of those whom the Grecians call giants ."

Etymologically, "titan" is derived from the same root word as "sheitan" in Chaldean and "satan" in Hebrew. A serious point to ponder ...

Read this series of reports with an open mind. If you have found your way to these pages, you probably have an interest in the para-normal.

Keep in your opened mind the fact that there are legitimate explanations within both the material AND immaterial realm of creation if you look hard enough. And ALL fit into God's eternal scheme of things. ALL have something to do with His revealed plan of the ages.

The blessings of Revelation be yours, now and in the glory that is Jesus Christ!
