or God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3: 16) KJV
I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2: 20) KJV

VICTORY IN JESUS, OUR SAVIOR FOREVER!

Living an immortal life of victory means being able to recognize the fact that it is Christ Himself living in believers and His sacrificial Blood alone that enables each one of us to live forever, washed to spotless perfection before the eyes of our God in heaven.

Just as we need a body to live through, so Christ has a body to display His power and life. That is why, when He died on the cross to save us, He purchased these, our bodies, along with our souls. What Christ accomplishes in this age is demonstrated by what He can do through these mortal bodies of ours corporately (as members of His Body) and spiritually (as individual beings).

Romans 6:10-18 tells us that we are to count ourselves dead to sin but alive to God. Then we are to yield ourselves fully to God. While here on earth, with Christ living His life through us, we have God's full provision for every need in the Christian life. We have a full complement of His scriptural promises.

When God requires something from us, He miraculously provides the necessary power to do it. Ephesians 6:11-17 features the spiritual armor available to every Christian. God's provision in this armor is none other than Jesus Christ Himself, the Son of God and Son of Man who is our assurance of victory.

Keep in mind that the armor includes both offensive and defensive weapons. We have the "machira" sword of the the Word, which is double-edged and powerful. Combined with the girdle of Truth, breastplate of Righteousness, shoes of preparation of the Gospel of Peace, shield of Faith and the helmet of Salvation, we have everything we need to combat the deceptive forces of evil.

And Paul gives us #7 last but certainly not least -- prayer to the powerful Sovereign of the Universe, available around the clock and beyond the clock.

Finally, Romans 13: 14 sums up the battle plan for Christians girding up for spiritual warfare -- "Put on the Lord Jesus Christ."
