Drani Mashiendra was born in Al'cair'rahienallen and lived with her parents in their inn. When she was 15, the inn burned down and her father died. Drani and her mother went to Tar Valon to Drani's grandmother and stayed with her until she died. Her mother took over the house. Drani's mother was very poor so Drani married an inn keeper in order to spare her mother. The man, however, treated her very badly. He was a stupid, drunken bastard who was many years older than she. His inn was dirty, dark and the customers were a lot of drunkards. Then one day was the husband killed. He was stabbed down in an alley outside the inn and Drani was now the owner of the inn. In memory of her husband she named it "the Drunken Mule". She repaired and redecorated the house and made it to one of the best inn in her side of town. Drani always kept herself informed about happenings in the town and she found out that she could make money on such details. Her inn became the most important place for Tar Valon's underground world. A couple of years later her nephew Carmil came to town. He moved into her inn and soon became one of her best informers.
Drani is 26 year old, tall, with pale skin and long black hair. She has big dark eyes and is one of the best cooks in Tar Valon. She is very famous for her meatloaf. Her inn is a big house near the docks and she has often troubles with sailors but her others customers want a peaceful, quiet inn and takes care of the problems for her. No one wants the citywatch to come around.
