Convoy

In the Japanese cartoon continuity, Convoy is the name of the Autobot leader in the year 1985. He corresponds to the North American and European character known as Optimus Prime.

In addition to the information in Optimus Prime's US cartoon bio (with Optimus's name replaced with "Convoy" where appropriate), the following applies to Convoy's cartoon history:

Convoy was eventually resurrected using Zodiac energy, and placed in a new body that also transformed into tractor trailer (though with treads this time). Calling himself Star Convoy, he led the Cybertrons against the newly-resurrected Megatron and his Destron army.
