The Hakenbüchse Page

Herfjotur - This is my .75 Hussite Hakenbüchse (Hook Gun) built by Handgonnes.com. She is a replica of a Hakenbüchse style Handgonne during the early part of the Hussite Wars (1419-1434) in Bohemia. The Hakenbüchse has also been called the Hackbutt because of the hook that comes down the bottom of the barrel. The name Hakenbüchse would eventually evolve into the word Arquebus.

Mine is a custom model with a natural finish in a .75. Also no wedge chain is present. To see the standard model please click here.

Bertha - This is is going to be a long barrelled .58 Hakenbüchse that will be built by John Buck.
