Wonder Twin Powers -- ACTIVATE!!

Yes, you heard right. Welcome to my Zan and Jayna shrine!

Warning: It may be possible that not every scrap of information here is entirely accurate...

Zan and Jayna, the alien "Wonder Twins", made their debut (as I'm sure you all know) in the love-it-or-hate-it Super Friends cartoon many years ago. Were they intelligent and charismatic awe-inspiring heroes? No; they were pretty much lame-o jokes. But so what? They're very popular (well ... a bit popular ... maybe) nonetheless.

And after years of abandonment and neglect, they finally found their way into the core DCU thanks to Ivan Velez Jr and issue #9 of Extreme Justice, a short-lived Justice League spin-off.
EJ initially starred the break-away JLA team of Captain Atom, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Maxima and Amazing Man. The Wonder Twins were added later, in an attempt to revitalise slumping sales.
Sadly, however, the Powers-That-Be at DC Comics realised that if EJ continued its run - its popularity turbo-charged by the presence of Zan and Jayna - DC's weaker books (for example the Superman and Batman franchises) would inevitably suffer. After all, how could any other hero hope to measure up to the greatness of the "Excellent Exorians" ... ?
Jenette Kahn and Paul Levitz briefly toyed with the idea of entirely revamping the whole DCU line-up - replacing the tired old Superman and Batman books with such titles as The Wonder Twins in Action Comics, Legends of the Wonder Twins, Wonder Twins League Quarterly, etc. - but it was eventually decided that nobody could be arsed, so they just cancelled Extreme Justice and that was it. They even elected to shelve the promising Wolfman/Perez epic The Coolness of Infinite Wonder Twins.

I know, I know -- what were they thinking?

But the Wonder Twins live on in the hearts of millions of comic fans everywhere. Conservative estimates suggest that over seventy percent of all internet "fan-fic" is dedicated to Zan and Jayna, and "WT" devotees are also blessed with no fewer than seventeen newsgroups and thirty-two individual mailing lists. At last count the ever-growing Wonder Twins fan-base had resulted in approximately nine thousand unauthorised web-sites proclaiming the Twins' greatness.

And this is one of them.
