"Hand in Paw" Campaign

Dear Friend:

Please help the "Hand in Paw" campaign...and get involved in hope! The Animal Rescue and Foster Program (AFRP) follows a healing philosopy of bringing people together into an extensive foster-care network. Thanks to you, AFRP provides tender, loving, individual care for abandoned animals until they can be permanently placed. Every foster home provides critically needed space to save another companion animal.

Sadly, this type of care cannot exist on love and devotion alone--it also requires financial support. Your donation ensures that ARFP can continue its life-saving work. Donations, large or small, help bring our animal friends hope, health care, and a loving family.

Each dollar received pays for vaccines, spaying or neutering, heartworm tests and treatment, feline leukemia tests, and any other care needed by these abandoned animals.

Here are examples of how your donatins helped in the Piedmont Triad:

Bungee and his litter mates were found after their mother was dumped out. Bungee had a bungee cord wrapped around his body. As he grew, the cord became embedded into his skin. ARFP saved all of the puppies and the mother.Bungee underwent surgery to remove the cord. He now lives happily in his new adoptive home.

Molly and her five kittens were found in a restaurant parking lot along a busy street. ARFP rescued Molly and her family and gave them a warm bed and food to eat. To ensure their well being, ARFP tended to their medical needs. They are now living in permanent adoptive homes--safe and loved.

Humphrey was found wandering a neighborhood after being hit by a car. He was taken to a local veterinarian by some good Samaritans. ARFP was asked to take Humphrey. Surgery on his leg was extensive, but after six weeks of rehabilitation in an ARFP foster home, Humphrey found a loving adoptive home and now goes running three times a week with his new "mom."

Last year we were able to facilitate 378 adoptions of abandoned or abused pets. We would like to double that number every year. Your love and generosity are the magic that rescues them, and the hope that gives them a second chance at life. If you have ever wanted to make a difference in an animal's life, you can, by extending your hand to an outstretched paw.

Thank you for making the work of Animal Rescue and Foster Program possible.
